G&D and Telemac will integrate TelemacÂs IMA-Module(r) software for network-edge real-time billing onto G&DÂs STARSIM(r) Java(tm) card platform. This Java(tm) card 2.1.2/2.2 compliant SIM product line supports 2G GSM networks and will also be available on G&DÂs UniverSIM(r) Java(tm) card platform for future 3G GSM networks. G&D and Telemac will further explore additional implementations, like R-UIM for CDMA, and promote the technology throughout the wireless marketplace. G&D supplies SIM cards and services to over 100 network operators worldwide.
The G&D Telemac-enabled(tm) SIM cards will support Telemac CostControl(tm) technology, a patented real-time billing and accounting solution for prepaid wireless services and post-paid services using adjustable spending limits. Telemac CostControl(tm) technology features rapid deployment, scalability, seamless national and international roaming, reduced non-revenue generating network traffic, personal account verification via function keys on the wireless device, and a web-based administrative tool for modifying program parameters. Telemac CostControl(tm) technology is part of the Telemac Advantage(r) suite.
