The judgment enjoined MGI Graphics aka N-fini Shape, of Largo, FL. from infringing the claims of US Patent No. 7,395,557 B1 and restrained MGI from making, using, selling, offering for sale or importing into the United States any products infringing this patent..

Keeping Chickens - A Poultry Guide

Keeping Chickens - A Poultry Guide

Owning chickens can be great fun and very rewarding too. They are incredibly easy to look after, don’t take up much room and give you a tasty breakfast every morning. How to get started, find out what is involved and what you will need!

(PRWEB) September 15, 2010

Before you start, you’ll need to choose which poultry breed or breeds you would like to keep. You need to decide whether you want them just for eggs or for meat as well. There are lots of different breeds to choose from, but the best kind for the first - time owner looking for a pet and a few eggs, is one of the hybrid breeds. These have been bred to be ‘human-friendly’ and to lay regularly – as much as one a day. A dual purpose bird lays eggs and is ideal for meat as well.

To get started, it is best to buy ‘point of lay’ (POL) chickens. They are around 16 weeks old and, as the name suggests, ready to start to lay. You should ask other local keepers for the name of a reputable poultry supplier. You could also check the noticeboard at your local Mole Valley Farmers or agricultural merchant, and the classified ads in your local paper. Rescue centres often have chickens that need rehoming and ex-battery hens make great pets. We stock poultry feed that is designed especially for ex-battery hens too.

If you speak to an enthusiastic poultry keeper, you will be given plenty of useful advice. They will be happy to explain the different breeds and the advantages of each. Once you have chosen your chickens, make sure that they have been vaccinated. Also, don’t forget to check whether or not they have had their wings clipped.

Even in small flocks, rearing chicks of your own will result in some young cockerels. Keeping more than one cockerel will usually mean fights (and a lot more noise!), so extra cockerels are often culled for meat or advertised locally. It is worth planning ahead before you start to breed your own chicks.

Many people keep chickens and other fowl purely for pleasure, some keep them for egg or meat production. Either way, there is a great deal of enjoyment to be had from seeing your birds happily scratching about.

Mole Valley Farmers is an excellent source of advice about everything from feeding and handling to housing and healthcare. We also offer a wide range of feeds and husbandry equipment, all at our famously low prices. Find out more now!

Research and Markets : Vertical Market Deep Dive of U. S. Industry: Healthcare

Research and Markets : Vertical Market Deep Dive of U. S. Industry: Healthcare

Research and Markets (researchandmarkets. com/reports/c14520) has announced the addition of David vs. Goliath: Healthcare Vertical - SMB vs. Enterprise IT Trends and Expenditures in the US to their offering.

Dublin (PRWEB) March 25, 2005

Research and Markets (http://www. researchandmarkets. com/reports/c14520 (http://www. researchandmarkets. com/reports/c14520)) has announced the addition of David vs. Goliath: Healthcare Vertical - SMB vs. Enterprise IT Trends and Expenditures in the US to their offering.

Small and medium (SMB) healthcare organizations are increasing their spending on technology, and their spending will increase even faster over the next few years. In 2004, SMB healthcare end-users spent $21 billion on IT services and equipment, while the enterprise healthcare segment (1,000 or more employees) spent an estimated $27 billion. This equates to an estimated $6 billion difference in spending between the two market segments. By 2008, this gap is expected to decrease by $1 billion, when the SMB healthcare market will spend roughly $27 billion on IT services and equipment.

This recent report found the following:

-Health care firms will invest significantly in applications that provide improvement to patient care and reductions in medical errors.

-New federal rules known as HIPAA require that healthcare organizations protect data and provide physical security of buildings and hospital areas. This provides opportunities for vendors.

-Vendors targeting this industry will need to serve mobile hospital and healthcare staff. Healthcare staffers are, for the most part, away from desk phones and require mobile solutions for things such as communicating with other staff, accessing patient records, accessing formulary information, and viewing diagnostic information.

The report, David vs. Goliath: Healthcare Vertical - SMB vs. Enterprise IT Trends and Expenditures in the US, takes a deep dive look into the healthcare vertical, including differences and similarities in the SMB vs. Enterprise healthcare segments in IT trends and expenditures. The report includes forecasts through 2009 for IT segments including applications, computer hardware, network hardware, telecom services & equipment, IT personnel, and outsourcing/hosted services.

“Planetree and its tenets comprise the ‘shade tree’ that we know others will sit under as the years move beyond our current very committed leadership team.”

Hall’s staff will lead several tours of Sharp Coronado Hospital during the conference to demonstrate how Planetree concepts have been fully integrated into every area of the hospital.

The 2006 Conference is sponsored by Lead Sponsors Albert Kahn Associates, Inc., a leading planning, design and management firm; GetWellNetwork, a healthcare interactive services firm that works to enhance the healing and coping process to patients and care providers; and Nurture by Steelcase, a company that transforms healthcare environments to make lives better for patients, caregivers and partners in care.

Amid U. S. Debate on Fate of Pre-Existing Coverage under Healthcare Reform Travel Insured Offers Emergency Med Expenses for Pre-Existing Conditions

Amid U. S. Debate on Fate of Pre-Existing Coverage under Healthcare Reform Travel Insured Offers Emergency Med Expenses for Pre-Existing Conditions

Travelers following the national healthcare debate over whether or not pre-existing conditions of themselves, their travel companions, or their immediate family members will be covered under healthcare reform, can be reassured that Travel Insured offers Pre-Existing Medical Coverage in most travel insurance plans.

East Hartford, CT (PRWEB) February 3, 2010

Travelers following the national debate over the fate of coverage of pre-existing medical conditions under healthcare reform are also concerned about coverage for these conditions when a pre-existing condition-related medical emergency strikes while they are traveling. They want to be sure the travel insurance plan they select allows coverage of pre-existing medical conditions of themselves, the companions traveling with them on the same itinerary, and members of both their immediate families, especially in foreign destinations where U. S. health plans, including Medicare, normally do not provide coverage.

Travel Insured International (http://www. travelinsured. com) recommends that travelers find and select the right insurance plan for their travel needs, and follow the normally simple purchasing rules required to qualify for coverage of pre-existing medical conditions. This can save the insured traveler grief, whether seeking Trip Cancellation reimbursement due to the recurrence of a condition at home, or seeking Emergency Accident or Sickness Medical Expense coverage, Trip Interruption or Medical Evacuation due to the recurrence of the condition during the trip.

Travel Insured’s Worldwide Trip Protector, Trip Protector Lite Expanded, and Airline Ticket Protector plans all allow travelers up to 14 days from their initial deposit to obtain the plan with the pre-existing medical conditions waiver. The waiver permits coverage related to a pre-existing condition to be provided when it would normally be excluded from the plan. The Worldwide Trip Protector Gold plan generously allows up to 30 days from deposit to obtain the waiver.

Two recent cases illustrate the dilemma of traveling without the needed coverage for emergency medical expenses due to a pre-existing condition. In one case, reported by a CBS affiliate in Cincinnati, a woman was denied Trip Cancellation reimbursement after her mother’s death from a pre-existing condition because the travel insurance plan she bought directly from her airline did not cover pre-existing conditions. In another case reported by a local Iowa newspaper, a widow was denied medical expenses after her husband died of a heart condition on a cruise because her health insurance plan neither covered pre-existing conditions nor treatment outside the U. S., where the fatality occurred.

3rd Party Travel Insurance and Pre-X Medical Waiver

A first step is to learn how the insurance company defines a pre-existing condition. At Travel Insured the pre-existing condition is any injury, sickness or condition of the insured, the traveling company or a member of either of their immediate families for which medical treatment, diagnosis, care or treatment was received during the 180-day period ending on the effective date of the policy. Conditions controlled during the period without a change of prescription drugs are not considered pre-existing. Remember that many people may not know the pre-existing conditions that even their immediate loves ones may have!

Travelers should seek a 3rd-party travel insurance plan that offers a waiver allowing coverage of a pre-existing medical condition that might otherwise be excluded from coverage. A travel agent professional is normally best qualified to recommend and book the travel insurance plan that offers the waiver making sure pre-existing medical condition coverage sought by the traveler will not be disallowed by the policy.

Four Simple Qualifying Rules

The four Travel Insured qualifying rules for obtaining the pre-existing conditions waiver are simple:
1. buy the plan within the required number of days from trip deposit;
2. purchase the plan for the full non-refundable cost of the trip;
3. the insured traveler must not be disabled from traveling at the time the plan is paid for and,
4. be sure this is the insured traveler’s first and only travel booking for the same destination and dates of travel.

The bottom line is that solving the pre-existing medical condition dilemma should be no problem for travelers who do a little shopping. Ask the right questions to make sure pre-existing conditions are covered, and consider the guidance of a travel agent professional working with a specialized, 3rd-party insurance provider like Travel Insured International. Remember that insured travelers will feel like they have done the right thing for their family, as well as themselves, by obtaining this coverage.

“Practitioner Shares Little Known Secret to Healing the Human Body by Using Energy Medicine”

“Practitioner Shares Little Known Secret to Healing the Human Body by Using Energy Medicine”

Kansas Practitioner uses EMF Balancing Technique® for healing. Is Energy Medicine the missing link for complete health?

(PRWEB) April 16, 2003

LAWRENCE, KS -- Karmel Mangan of Spirit Whispers in Lawrence Kansas is an established Health Practitioner who now uses EMF Balancing Technique® as the foundation and cornerstone of her work. Mangan is convinced that Energy Medicine is the missing link to complete health and healing, and combines it with her intuitive and telepathic talents to achieve wholeness in healing.

“The EMF Balancing Technique® is gaining momentum in healing popularity, finding it’s place securely in the middle--between mainstream medical treatments, and new-age healing methods. This process balancing our entire energy field in our body. We are energetic beings vibrating at a molecular level-- we just happen to have a physical body. When we ‘get the issues out of our tissues’ using Energy Medicine, we are utilizing a healing tool that has become the missing link between modern medicine practices, and other alternative therapies,” Mangan states.

According to her belief, “EMF is still somewhat of a secret. Despite itÂ’s rapid growth, many people still havenÂ’t heard of EMF Balancing Technique ® and could be missing out on something powerful and extremely beneficial. Energy Medicine is an integral part of healing, and is being practiced in 44 different countries. Once you shift your energy, you can awaken to a new dimension of greater health and prosperity!”

The overall feedback at Spirit Whispers is quite positive. “One client lost 28 pounds after doing EMF Balancing Technique® sessions. Another woman had a grayish tone to her skin, and we could actually see it changing back to a more natural pink during the healing session,” Mangan explained. “One man got the added benefit of lowered blood pressure when he actually came in to heal stress and depression. We have been told that arthritic pain relief, Fibromyalgia improvement, and decreased cholesterol levels have also occurred after energy sessions,” she added. Author Wendy Quirk of Carlsbad, CA declared that “after a phone healing from Karmel, I had more energy and less muscle pain than I have had in years!” Dorethy Hancock of Topeka, KS is quite convinced of the benefits. “I attended Spirit Whispers classes, and had private consultations for physical healings and past life clearing. Perhaps the most tangible--at least physical--result was the complete healing of sharp pain in my shoulder, which had gone on for about a year… I had been to a chiropractor and a Rolfer, both to no avail. My sessions with Karmel shifted old mental and emotional energy, bringing me into complete balance,” Dorethy said.

Mangan’s vision is to reach the masses teaching EMF training nationwide and internationally, and that is now becoming a reality. She partners with people for their physical and spiritual healing. “My specialty is getting to the truth of what causes core health issues, then releasing the imbalances that cause the pain and illness,” she states.

Karmel Mangan is an EMF Balancing Technique® Advanced Practictioner, and a Certified EMF Balancing Technique® Teacher. (She has also earned certifications in Iridology, Nutrition, CRA Muscle Testing, Reiki II, Spiritual Integration Therapy, Biofeedback, Inner Counselor work.) Karmel offers a free 10 minute consultation, and can be reached Monday-Friday 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM (CST) at 785-840-9829.

Medical Insurance Co-Pays Increase in 2010

Medical Insurance Co-Pays Increase in 2010

The newly released Benefits USA 2010/2011 survey results found the average premium increase for PPO plans was 10.2 percent in 2010 with premiums for an employee plus family PPO plan costing employers an average of $900 per month.

Kansas City, Kan. (PRWEB) October 21, 2010

As various components of the healthcare legislation continue to go into effect, employers across the country are finding little reprieve as the cost of providing medical insurance to their employees continues to increase. The newly released Benefits USA 2010/2011 survey results found the average premium increase for PPO plans was 10.2 percent in 2010 with premiums for an employee plus family PPO plan costing employers an average of $900 per month.

Currently, PPO plans are the most common healthcare option as 85.3 percent of organizations report offering a PPO to employees. Employees, however, are not exempt from the increasing cost of this popular medical plan as they are seeing increases to their deductibles, co-insurance and co-pay amounts, on top of the rising premiums. The average co-pay for a primary care office visit on a PPO plan is $22, up from $20 in 2008. Co-pays for ER visits have gone up 21 percent in the last two years, to $108. The co-pay to visit a specialist averages $30.

"Because medical insurance costs increase in correlation to healthcare costs, individuals will likely be paying more in premiums, deductibles and co-pays for the foreseeable future," said Amy Kaminski, director of marketing for Compdata Surveys, the nation's leading compensation and benefits survey data provider. "It remains to be seen how most individuals will respond to these new costs. Some may be influenced to improve their overall health to avoid additional out of pocket expenses in the future, while others may be inclined to put off needed medical care to save money in the short term."

Non-formulary prescription costs slowly continue to increase, as the average co-pay for non-formulary drugs range between $44 and $50, across all plan types. Formulary drug co-pays have remained stable for HMO and POS plans at $27, while PPO and HDHP formulary co-pays average $29. Generic drug co-pays currently average $11 for Indemnity, HMO and PPO plans. The average co-pay for generic drugs on a POS or HDHP plan is $10.

Longtime Activist Cleo Manago Selected by Minister Farrakhan as Voice of Black "Gay" Community

Longtime Activist Cleo Manago Selected by Minister Farrakhan as Voice of Black "Gay" Community

History Made As Same-Gender-Loving Community is Embraced at HIstoric Millions More Movement

(PRWEB) October 21, 2005

For the past two decades Cleo Manago has campaigned on behalf of the same-gender-loving (SGL), gay/lesbian-identified and bisexual members of the Black community and community at-large. As founder and CEO of the Los Angeles based AmASSI Health & Cultural Centers in Los Angeles, New York, Atlanta and South Africa, and founder of Black Men’s Xchange (BMX), his efforts have been heralded internationally.

Manago’s stance regarding cultural affirmation, self imaging and community dialogue are only a few of the key components he has successively purported to positively impact a change in society’s awareness and acceptance of the Black SGL community.

This year’s “Millions More Movement (MMM)’ rally, held October 15, 2005, on the National Mall in Washington D. C, was perhaps Manago’s greatest moment to date however. Before a crowd of thousands, and recorded live on C-SPAN, Manago had the honor of addressing the world community as a same-gender-loving man of African descent. Invited by Minister Louis Farrakhan, in an effort to be more inclusive of homosexual representation at this historic affair, Manago set a precedent with a speech that was defining, unifying and essential.

Discussing the importance of acknowledging and affirming SGL and bisexual folks as part of the healing necessary for the Black family, Manago stated, “As we plan for the political and economic strengthening of our communities, so that the framework is not vulnerable to inter-group conflict, we have to take care of our people. Because, movements are made up of people. Parallel to the Minister’s brilliant MMM plan, I suggest that there be mental health and restoration intervention for Black people. Because many of us need it. We need cultural affirmation courses. Because many of us do not know who we are. We need healing opportunities particular to the Black experience that explicitly acknowledge our diversity, which would include same-gender-loving Sisters and Brothers, non-religious folks, powerful women, people who are differently-abled physically, and others loyal to the Black unity, life and success.”

Upon leaving the platform, Manago received rousing applause and support, also echoed throughout the remainder of the day.

"The Nation of Islam is to be heralded and applauded for including our community on this great day,” Manago assesses. “It is shameful that there are false leaders being appointed to the SGL community that are attempting to dilute the power behind that event with untrue messages about non-inclusion on that day. Keith Boykin for instance, has spread lies in the media to dilute unity in our communities. But rest assured, the Millions More Movement will not be stopped, diluted or deterred. This is history in the making.”

Brookson Launches its Sole Trader Service

Brookson Launches its Sole Trader Service

Brookson has introduced its sole trader service that provides tax advice as well as invoicing and bookkeeping support to the self-employed working as sole traders

Warrington, UK (PRWEB) January 23, 2010

Brookson, a leading tax accountant and support services provider, has launched a sole trader service providing tax advice, invoicing and bookkeeping support to self-employed individuals working as sole traders.

Brookson's service is not like that of a traditional service provided by a typical high street accountant. Sole traders (http://www. brookson. co. uk/sole-trader. aspx (http://www. brookson. co. uk/sole-trader. aspx)) working with a traditional accountant often do their own bookkeeping and administration on a day to day basis. Brookson take this burden away with their comprehensive and all inclusive service which allows customers to review their financial records on-line so that they know what should be set aside to pay the taxman as they trade during the tax year.

The service is ideally suited for individuals looking to set up a business (http://www. brookson. co. uk/smallbusinessguides. aspx (http://www. brookson. co. uk/smallbusinessguides. aspx)) who often require more support from their accountant than just completion and submission of year-end accounts and tax returns. The Brookson approach removes the hassle so customers can spend more time concentrating on bringing in business rather than undertaking time consuming administration or bookkeeping.

Brookson has been providing a similar service to self-employed individuals working through a limited company (http://www. brookson. co. uk/limited-company. aspx (http://www. brookson. co. uk/limited-company. aspx)) but now with a complementary sole trader service, Brookson will appeal to a significantly broader market place.

Its target customers are professionals providing services within the self-employed (http://www. brookson. co. uk/sole-trader. aspx (http://www. brookson. co. uk/sole-trader. aspx)) market including engineers, IT contractors and healthcare professionals.

For individuals who do not want to set up a business, Brookson offers an alternative solution. Brookson's umbrella company (http://www. brookson. co. uk/contractor-umbrella-company. aspx (http://www. brookson. co. uk/contractor-umbrella-company. aspx)) service is suitable for self-employed individuals who do not want the responsibility of running their own business and would rather provide their service on a temporary basis whilst still enjoying the simplicity of being an employee.

Brookson continues to widen its range of services that are underpinned by its investment and commitment to technology. With a sole trader service Brookson now has a tax and support service portfolio that will support the wider self-employed professional market. Brookson's service offers something new to the market, a service where the customer has the peace of mind that they know how much they need to be setting aside to pay the taxman as they trade during the tax year.

ThromboGenics gets to the heart of thrombosis

ThromboGenics gets to the heart of thrombosis

Cardiovascular diseases such as thrombosis claim one life every 30 seconds. Instead of curing, current drugs often kill through fatal bleeding. ThromboGenics are on the verge of eradicating this problem having devised an anti-thrombotic strategy that does not cause hemorrhage.

(PRWEB) October 28, 2001

ThromboGenics gets to the heart of thrombosis

Cardiovascular diseases have been the most common cause of death in the US since 1918. Claiming one life every 30 seconds, more people die from cardiovascular disease than the next six leading causes of death combined. If cardiovascular disease were to be eliminated, the average life expectancy would rise by 7 years. However with current treatment options this goal remains wishful thinking.

Recent medical advances have seen the emergence of new clinical tools such as the GPIIb/IIIa inhibitors and recombinant tissue-type plasminogen activator (tPA). Unfortunately treatments can be expensive, limiting their use and perhaps more seriously, they also carry a high risk of fatal bleeding.

Safer and cheaper drugs are therefore required to reduce cardiovascular mortality and healthcare costs which currently stands at almost 500,000 lives and over 100 billion dollars each year in the US alone. The current challenge facing the drug development sector is to separate beneficial anti-thrombotic effects from the potentially disastrous risk of hemorrhage.

According to a DiscoveryDossier published this week by the pharmaceutical consultants, LeadDiscovery, this challenge may soon be met. This report describes the activities of the cutting edge drug development company, ThromboGenics. Along with their field-leading collaborators at the University of Leuven, ThromboGenics have developed a genetically modified mouse lacking a protein known as Gas6. This protein is related to the well known anti-coagulant, vitamin K. Incredibly a number of procedures known to cause fatal thromboses in normal mice were almost completely without effect in their genetically modified counterparts.

Despite this dramatic resistance to thrombosis, these animals displayed near normal bleeding times suggesting that disruption of Gas6 failed to increase the risk of hemorrhage.

According to LeadDiscovery consultants "The concept of developing blockers of Gas6 as antithrombotic treatments is well supported. Furthermore, for the first time, a drug discovery target has been identified that can reduce thrombosis but which does not appear to carry a risk of hemorrhage. If blockers can be identified they are likely to display significant advantages over the existing market".

The University of Leuven, where this research was developed is not a stranger to the identification of cutting edge cardiovascular therapies. This center of excellence was responsible for the early development of t-PA, which is currently the most effective thrombolytic drug on the market for acute myocardial infarction. ThromboGenics and their collaborators therefore stand an excellent chance of advancing from this conceptual phase towards the identification and development of Gas6 blockers.

So is there light at the end of the tunnel for the millions suffering from cardiovascular disease? Dr Jon Goldhill chief consultant at LeadDiscovery believes that the early signs are encouraging. Says Dr Goldhill "The proof of concept for Gas6 is excellent and ThromboGenics alongside their collaborators has consistently proved their ability in the field. I believe that if a chemical development program can be built upon this wealth of expertise and the robust screening architecture already in place, the future should be bright."

Having recognized that now is the time to advance towards the identification of therapeutic candidates ThromboGenics is keen to form partnerships with companies able to offer chemistry support. The potential of such a partnership should be the source of hope for patients and excitement for all involved in the drug development community.

TomoTherapy Marks Five Years of Clinical Success : Customer - and Survivor-Focused Events Highlight Monthlong Commemoration

TomoTherapy Incorporated (NASDAQ: TOMO) recently commemorated the fifth anniversary of the first patient treatment on a clinical TomoTherapy® Hi·Art® system, which occurred July 1, 2003, at Thompson Cancer Survival Center in Knoxville, Tenn. The commemoration began in mid-June with the annual North America Hi·Art System Users Meeting and Symposium on Helical TomoTherapySM. It ended on July 12, 2008, with Radiate Hope, a fundraising event and celebration of cancer survivorship spearheaded by TomoTherapy employees, and sponsored by the company.

MADISON, Wis. (PRWEB) July 17, 2008

"July 1, 2003 marked a new day in cancer care," said Fred Robertson, CEO of TomoTherapy. "Since that first treatment, we've installed more than 200 Hi·Art systems, and customers have delivered over one million CT-guided, intensity-modulated radiation therapy (IMRT) fractions via our platform. In looking back at five years of clinical acceptance and success, we wanted to honor the great work of customers, as well as the inspiring lives of those treated with our technology."

To commemorate this anniversary, TomoTherapy hosted the customer - and survivor-focused events in Madison, Wis., home to TomoTherapy headquarters and the University of Wisconsin, where the concepts of helical TomoTherapy were first explored and developed.

More than 100 TomoTherapy customers and guests attended the fifth annual North America Users Meeting and Symposium on Helical TomoTherapy on June 13 and 14, 2008. The two-day event focused on harnessing the power of the Hi·Art platform and highlighted its increased use for stereotactic procedures. Notable presentations included:

An Liu, Ph. D., assistant professor of medical physics, City of Hope National Medical Center, on optimizing efficiency of stereotactic radiosurgery delivery with helical TomoTherapy; Michael Bloom, R. T. (R)(T), radiation oncology manager, Memorial Hospital Cancer Center, on his center's use of TomoTherapy's stereotactic capabilities for the treatment of lung cancer; Tewfik Bichay, Ph. D., director of medical physics, Lacks Cancer Center, St. Mary's Health Care, on his center's extensive experience using the Hi·Art system for cranial radiosurgery; Mark Ritter, M. D., Ph. D., associate professor of radiation oncology, University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health, on a clinical trial to investigate use of the Hi·Art system for new approaches to hypofractionated radiation therapy for prostate cancer; Ke Sheng, Ph. D., assistant professor of medical physics, University of Virginia Health System, on accounting for target motion in stereotactic body radiotherapy for lung tumors; Craig Stevens, M. D., Ph. D., division chief of radiation oncology, H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center & Research Institute, on why he considers Moffitt's decision to purchase three Hi·Art systems, "the best technical decision we've made." The second annual Radiate Hope event, held on July 12, 2008, raised more than $70,000 for cancer research and support organizations in the Madison, Wis. area. The event attracted approximately 400 attendees for a family-focused celebration of survivorship. Eight cancer survivors addressed the crowd, sharing the stories of their cancer journeys and discussing how TomoTherapy's treatment technology has impacted their lives.

Hollywood Cleavage Secrets: Clevastin Boosts Bust Without Surgery

Hollywood Cleavage Secrets: Clevastin Boosts Bust Without Surgery

More Hollywood A-listers are veering away from cosmetic breast augmentation procedures in favor of safer, all-natural routes to breast enhancement. At the forefront of this trendsetting splurge are newer natural breast enlargement products like Clevastin.

Manalapan, NJ (PRWEB) June 30, 2009

More women are choosing to refrain from having costly and dangerous breast augmentation surgeries in favor of safer routes of all-natural breast enhancement. At the forefront of this burgeoning Hollywood trend are newer breakthrough breast enlarger supplements like Clevastin (created by Meadow Creek--a leading cosmeceutical company; distributed online by Healthwebshopping. com).

Unlike prescribed breast enhancement medications, or side effect-ridden and costly, painful cosmetic procedures - many of which are becoming frowned upon by Hollywood's A-list elite - natural breast enlargement supplements like Clevastin are garnering much industry praise for their ease-of-use, over-the-counter accessibility and namely, because Clevastin works, showing noticeable signs of a larger, firmer bust in about 1-2 months of daily usage.

Alma Rogers, Meadow Creek Spokesperson, eludes that Clevastin's Hollywood appeal is no surprise.

"Forever the women of Hollywood - and women all over the world - have eagerly sought a means at procuring natural breast enlargement that allows them to evade painful cosmetics procedures, and a method that is both easy-to-use and that provides to them the results that they so desire in a reasonable timeframe," Rogers states.

Clevastin is a two-method, dual-action, natural breast enlargement system. Clevastin all-natural capsules are taken by mouth, once in the morning and once in the evening. Clevastin Accelerator Gel is applied in small amounts to the fingertips and dabbed onto clean, dry skin by lightly massaging it into the breasts, once in the morning and once in the evening. Most women will see noticeable results from Clevastin after one or two months of daily usage, when used as directed.

From Roger's point of view, the recent surging popularity of Clevastin breast enlarger is tantamount to the common female Hollywood mindset that looks down upon cosmetic procedures that augment breast size.

"Clevastin is the best natural breast enlarger, and many A-listers and other Hollywood women are quickly catching on to this amazing cleavage secret that can net them a larger bust with firmer breasts - without causing side effects or requiring invasive procedures - in a matter of six to eight weeks," says Rogers.

When One Size Doesn't Fit All: HIN Audio Conference Discusses Avoiding Unintended Consequences of Healthcare Pay for Performance

When One Size Doesn't Fit All: HIN Audio Conference Discusses Avoiding Unintended Consequences of Healthcare Pay for Performance

A September 6, 2007 roundtable audio conference from the Healthcare Intelligence Network will provide a forum for a discussion on circumventing PFP potholes on the road to improving patient care.

Manasquan, NJ (PRWEB) August 15, 2007

Manasquan, NJ, USA, August 14, 2007 -- Carefully crafting performance measure specifications and setting realistic goals for improvement can help healthcare organizations avoid some unintended consequences of pay for performance (PFP) initiatives - many of which can put patients at risk. A September 6, 2007 roundtable audio conference from the Healthcare Intelligence Network will provide a forum for a discussion on circumventing PFP potholes on the road to improving patient care.

In applying standardized quality measures to patients, well-intentioned providers don't always consider that some patients fall outside the bounds of standard medical practice. Public reporting of and pay-for-performance programs tied to clinical measures are in use at a growing number of healthcare organizations in an effort to increase provider accountability for healthcare quality. Increasingly, however, concerns have been raised about the potential for unintended consequences of performance measurement and reporting that might lead to patient harm.

NEWS FACTS:
An industry thought leader in hospital quality improvement initiatives will be the featured speaker at Ensuring the Benefits of Public Reporting and Pay-for-Performance Programs Outweigh the Unintended Consequences, a 45-minute live roundtable audio conference from the Healthcare Intelligence Network (HIN) on September 6, 2007 at 1:30 p. m. Eastern. For conference details, please visit http://www. hin. com/cgi-local/link/news/pl. cgi? consequencespr (http://www. hin. com/cgi-local/link/news/pl. cgi? consequencespr).

Featured Speaker: Dale Bratzler, D. O., M. P.H, medical director of the Hospital Interventions Quality Improvement Organization Support Center and the Hospital Quality of Care Measures Special Study at the Oklahoma Foundation for Medical Quality (OFMQ), will speak on the unintended consequences of PFP, then field questions from conference participants who bring to the "table" organizational concerns regarding PFP.

Conference Highlights: A presentation and follow-up dialogue on avoiding unintended consequences of performance measurement, which requires careful attention to the development of measure specifications and setting realistic goals for improvement.

Target Audience: CEOs, CFOs, chief medical officers, chief nursing officers, medical directors, quality improvement executives, performance improvement executives, disease management directors, managers and coordinators, health plan executives, care management nurses and strategic planning directors.

Audio Conference Formats: 45-minute live audio conference on September 6, 2007 includes a 25-minute Q&A; "On-Demand" rebroadcast available September 10, 2007; 45-minute recording on CD-ROM with printed transcript available September 24, 2007. For conference details, please visit http://www. hin. com/cgi-local/link/news/pl. cgi? consequencespr (http://www. hin. com/cgi-local/link/news/pl. cgi? consequencespr)

QUOTES ATTRIBUTABLE TO MELANIE MATTHEWS, HIN EXECUTIVE VP AND COO:

"To achieve the desired goals of PFP, the healthcare industry needs to address the possible unintended consequences of applying standardized measures -- such as those that may occur when treating a patient with multiple morbidities. Just as some educators have been accused of teaching to standardized tests, healthcare organizations must realize that for certain patients, standardized measures aren't necessarily the best medicine."

Rocker Says "Hunting is Not a Sport, It's a Lifestyle"

Rocker Says "Hunting is Not a Sport, It's a Lifestyle"

Eric Adams of rock band Manowar talks about the misconceptions of hunting and the conservation element of the hunting lifestyle.

Auburn, NY (PRWEB) November 26, 2006

Eric Adams says those who cannot understand the passion hunters have for hitting the field are missing the big picture.

"Hunting is not a sport, it's a lifestyle. Besides my musical career, everything I do is geared toward hunting from pre-season scouting to preparing a nice venison roast. It's all about hunting, particularly bowhunting for me."

Adams is best known to the world for being the singer and founding member of heavy metal giants Manowar, but earlier this year he released a DVD called "Wild Life and Wild Times" that center on his wild lifestyle.

"I have certainly seen my share of wild times out on the road, but in reality the true wildness is what I see from the tree stand. It's awesome playing to 20,000 screaming fans but it's just as awesome to come to full draw on a wild turkey or big, wary northern whitetail buck."

Adam's video partner Chester Moore agrees. The multiple award-winning outdoor writer and author of five hunting and fishing books, including "Flounder Fever" and the forthcoming "Texas Waterfowl" agrees.

"There is purity about hunting and fishing that can be traced back to man's quest for survival. In the Moore household we eat wild game or wild caught fish at least five nights a week and it has made us healthier due to the nutritional benefits of truly natural food and it has allowed us to celebrate success in the field so it feeds the spirit as well," Moore said.

"Wild Life and Wild Times" features hunting and fishing throughout the United States and it focuses on the conservation efforts that have kept populations of fish and game thriving despite increased urbanization.

"The conservation element is something Eric and I are very proud of with this DVD. The fact we were able to hunt an American bison and take home that meat is something we will never forget. I mean just 100 years ago they were nearly extinct but now they are thriving. Without the passion and foresight of hunters that would not have been possible," Moore said.

"Somehow we were able to make a very entertaining video project and maintain an educational value which is something that is not easy to do. However, any time you step into the woods you become a student of the wild and I think that shines through on "Wild Life and Wild Time," Adams said.

"Wild Life and Wild Times" is available at http://www. magiccirclemusic. com (http://www. magiccirclemusic. com) and amazon. com.

"A common problem with SSL VPN solutions generally is that they install components into the local browser, and many customers have reported issues with their users trying to connect from locked down machines on third party sites," commented Brian DaBinett, Director, EPAFactory. "A user simply plugs in their USB AccessStick™ to the PC, swipes a finger to authenticate and they are automatically taken to their Citrix Access Gateway™ logon page; the user experience is simple, secure and foolproof. There are no prompts, no fuss and more importantly, nothing installed on the local machine. This delivers away-from-the-office total security while at the same time reducing support and administration costs of remote access," concluded DaBinett.

"SSL VPN's are always trying to attain the holy grail of leaving a zero footprint on the desktop. The AccessStick™ allows them to achieve it with no reliance on cache clean-up technologies," said Dave Coombes, Chief Architect, EPAFactory, "When users have finished working, they simply remove the stick and there is nothing left behind on the machine. In addition the solution offers strong authentication through the recognition of each individual stick, use of biometric recognition information for the user combined with the option of single sign-on."

Phil Laslett, Business Development Manager for EPAFactory added "A lot of our financial, local government and health sector customers are excited not only by the ease of use for their SSL connection but also because the biometric solution from Symwave enables secure file storage for the user, offering a complete remote access and data mobility platform."

"We are pleased to offer our fingerprint sensor and biometric software development kit to provide strong authentication to remote access. The combined solution containing Symwave's biometric authentication, EPAFactory's virtualization layer and Citrix SSL VPN enables easy remote access and strong security on untrusted computers enabling employees to work anywhere while adhering to corporate policies." said Sudhakar Avula, Director of Marketing and Business Development, Biometrics Products at Symwave.

Phil Montgomery, Director of Product Marketing for Citrix Systems commented, "We are delighted to see the partner eco-system building around Citrix Access Gateway™ with great offerings such as the EPAFactory AccessStick. We see this as validation of our position as market leaders. I tried an early AccessStick beta and I was really impressed at how easy it made connectivity when working away from the office."

Georgia College & State University Connects Students and Organizations Digitally

Bobcat Vision digital signage network increases campus awareness

Milledgeville, GA (PRWEB) April 14, 2010

Simplifying the flow of information is vital to communication and student involvement. That’s why students and staff at Georgia College & State University (GCSU) worked together earlier this year to launch Bobcat Vision, the school’s first digital signage network on campus.

GCSU worked with Capital Signs to install Bobcat Vision, which consists of 16 32-inch and three 42-inch high-definition displays powered by Scala (http://www. scala. com) software. The screens are mounted in various campus areas, including the student activities center, classroom buildings, faculty office buildings and student union dining hall.

“With the Scala solution, GCSU’s opportunity to communicate to the student body has greatly expanded, and it will allow the Student Government Association to simplify and better package a continuous flow of information to students,” said Andy Panos, Vice President of Capital Signs.

To run the network, GCSU obtained 12 licenses for Scala Players, Designer, Content Manager and Template Composer EX module. Capital Signs designed all of the graphics and templates stored in Scala Content Manager. Scala Designer is available in the student activities center, and it is used by the designated system administrator to build new templates and graphics for all users of the digital signage network.

Scala Content Manager allows student groups and campus members to add their own messaging to the templates, and it is available to all authorized students with Internet access. This gives them the ability to add messages from off-campus housing, as well as computer labs and dormitories.

“Once we really played with the software and functionality, we realized that it is extremely flexible and can be pushed as far as we want,” said Billy Grace, a senator in the Student Government Association. “We’re consistently finding new features and opportunities, and we know that as Bobcat Vision grows, we will continue learning how to improve the way we use it.”

Currently, Capital Signs is integrating campus RSS feeds — the same ones that appear on the GCSU Web site — into Bobcat Vision. They have also installed a Scala Player that will drive Bobcat Vision to GCSU’s campus cable network to reach the TVs of anyone on campus.

InBoxer Extends Easy Email Archiving and Compliance To IBM Lotus Domino And IBM Lotus Notes

InBoxer anti-risk appliance now archives, categorizes, retrieves and sends policy management alerts in both leading corporate email environments.

Concord, MA (PRWEB) March 20, 2007

After testing at IBM (NYSE: IBM) facilities, the InBoxer Anti-Risk Appliance, a leading product for email archiving, compliance, and the electronic discovery requirements of the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure, has been validated by IBM (NYSE: IBM) as meeting compatibility and integration specifications for IBM Lotus Notes and IBM Lotus Domino software.

Executives, corporate counsels, CFOs, HR professionals, audit committee members, and compliance managers can easily and accurately meet the needs of the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure. InBoxer never alters the original email message, as some competitive products do. InBoxer archives email and finds potential violations of a broad range of compliance issues, including Sarbanes-Oxley, hostile work environment (harassment), privacy, identity theft laws, HIPAA violations, and more.

"By adding IBM Lotus Domino support to our existing Microsoft Exchange support, InBoxer meets the needs of most organizations to quickly archive and identify messages that could put them at risk," says Roger Matus, chief executive of InBoxer, Inc.

Mike Karp, senior analyst for Enterprise Management Associates added, "In order to comply with the new Federal Rules of Civil Procedure, every company must be able to find every email sent or received by their employees. This can be a long and expensive process. The real-time content analysis provided by InBoxer's new offering means that email investigations and discovery can be completed significantly faster and at a lower cost than before."

The InBoxer Anti-Risk Appliance is a plug-and-play hardware/software combination that is typically installed in less than one hour. The same appliance can be used for Lotus Domino, Microsoft Exchange, mixed server environments, and with other email products. It is available immediately with pricing starting at $5000.

Two industry experts will present the Guided Care Model and other disease management approaches to improving health and reducing healthcare costs for patients with multiple comorbidities during an October 29, 2008 webinar from the Healthcare Intelligence Network.

Manasquan, NJ (PRWEB) October 8, 2008

Individuals with comorbidities -- the presence of more than one disease or health condition at a given time -- comprise more than a quarter of the population and account for 65 cents of every U. S. healthcare dollar. Managing Comorbidities in Disease Management, an October 29, 2008 webinar from the Healthcare Intelligence Network, will examine disease management (DM) programs that improve health and reduce healthcare costs for those patients with comorbid conditions. The webinar will examine the Guided Care model, a multidisciplinary model of primary care for people with multiple chronic conditions, and other DM approaches. For more information, please visit http://www. hin. com/cgi-local/link/news/pl. cgi? cmdmpr (http://www. hin. com/cgi-local/link/news/pl. cgi? cmdmpr).

NEWS FACTS:
Scheduled Speakers: Chad Boult, M. D., M. P.H., M. B.A., professor of public health, medicine & nursing and director of the Lipitz Center for Integrated Health Care, Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and a principal investigator of a randomized trial of the Guided Care Model, and James Hardy, senior vice president of care management services, McKesson Health Solutions.

Conference Highlights: Dr. Boult will describe the Guided Care model and preliminary results of its impact of healthcare quality and costs for 904 older patients in the Baltimore-Washington, D. C. area. Guided Care is a multidisciplinary model of primary care for people with multiple chronic conditions, designed to improve the quality and outcomes of complex healthcare by improving the delivery system's design, decision support, access to clinical information and support for self-management, and by facilitating patients' access to community services.

The webinar will also detail the most effective disease management models for serving patients with multiple comorbidities; the role of technology in managing multiple conditions; facilitating communication among the patient, caregiver, physicians and case manager; developing outreach and education programs that engage and motivate patients; assessing and stratifying patients for custom outreach plans; conducting home visits to assess and monitor health status; and tracking performance and results on comorbid diseases.

Target Audience: CEOs, medical directors, disease management directors, managers and coordinators, health plan executives, care management nurses, business development and strategic planning directors and physician practice leaders.

Webinar Formats: 90-minute live webinar on October 29, 2008 includes a 30-minute Q&A; "On-Demand" rebroadcast available October 31, 2008; 90-minute recording on CD-ROM with printed transcript or video recording of webinar on DVD available November 19, 2008. For conference details, please visit http://www. hin. com/cgi-local/link/news/pl. cgi? cmdmpr (http://www. hin. com/cgi-local/link/news/pl. cgi? cmdmpr).

"Individuals with complex health issues consume more healthcare resources -- particularly at the primary care level -- at more than twice the per capita cost of those with a single chronic illness. Additionally, 65 percent of U. S. elderly patients had two or more types of chronic conditions. Alternate care models for this population offer the opportunity to reduce costs and redistribute care responsibilities among providers, case managers, family, community and the patient," said Melanie Matthews, HIN Executive VP and COO.
