Edmund Scientifics and FrogPad™ Announce the First Catalogue Launch of Specialized Keyboards for the Scientific Community

FrogPad™ and strategic partner, Edmund Scientifics, the leader in unique, science related products for enthusiasts and educators, announce the launch of the specialized one handed keyboard for the scientific community. This further places FrogPad™ as a new standard for data entry.

Houston, TX (PRWEB) October 31, 2005

FrogPad™ and strategic partner, Edmund Scientifics, the leader in unique, science related products for enthusiasts and educators, announce the launch of the specialized one handed keyboard for the scientific community.

This further places FrogPad™ as a new standard for data entry!

FrogPad™, an innovator in data entry technologies for mobile computing, has been capturing the hearts, minds and digits of the growing corporate technology market with the introduction of 4 new and original one-handed keyboards since 2003.

Now FrogPad™ is launching the first specialized online tutorial created by DeMarque, the renowned creator of E-Learning typing tutorials for corporate settings and for grades K-12 in the US and Canada.

The FrogPad™ keyboard is easier to use than a standard keyboard because it is one-handed as most our activities are, and it has been designed around the 15 most frequently used letters by all languages using the Roman alphabet. The DeMarque typing tutorial for the FrogPad™ keyboard features “Friendly Froggie” to train users to type very efficiently with one hand. The On-line tutorial is available in English, and will soon be in French, German and Spanish.

Additionally, an enabling technology of the keyboard is an 8-bit microcontroller from Freescale Semiconductor which provides a cost-effective solution for maximizing the keyboard's battery life.

FrogPad™ for Educators

By enabling typing with one hand, FrogPad™ is revolutionizing the use of technology in the education system. The size and portability of the keyboard make it ideal for classroom use. Computer technology has become a very important tool in the educational system for both teachers and students. In elementary schools, the curriculum focuses on ensuring that students are computer literate. Schools devote an entire semester to teaching students how to type. Because of the intuitive patented letter layout, teaching all students to type on FrogPad™ will insure faster learning in less time than a semester. An average person can learn to type 40 WPM on the FrogPad™ with less than ten hours of practice, when sixty hours are required for a regular keyboard. The professional tutorial developed and now offered by DeMarque is fun and easy to use. It provides great instruction and training for new users. And young children will leap to using it immediately. It gives every student a real chance to experience the joys of technology.

Disabilities in the Classroom

FrogPad™ is a great tool for students with disabilities. In an education system where inclusion and mainstreaming have become very popular practices, FrogPad™ further enables students with disabilities to function normally in a regular classroom. Its design allows students to type quickly using only one hand, and its size makes it easily portable as well as hardly noticeable to others. Students also love the fun nature of the keyboard with its bright color and cute logo. Most students have referred it to as “cool”. Think of the impact this keyboard makes for children with Dysgraphia and Cerebral Palsy. We believe the patented FrogPad product platform is the solution”.

Current applications for the future wearable Frog include industries with needs for easy data entry from a field application such as shipping logistics, healthcare patient care, and remote field operations such as on-site drilling for the Oil & Gas industry. (PRWEB) June 20, 2006

Joseph Hubertus Pilates born in Düsseldorf, Germany in 1880. As a child Joseph suffered from asthma, rickets, and rheumatic fever. First Vitality International (http://www.1stvitality. com) announces the launch of Omegasmooth BERRY for Kids and Omegasmooth Orange for adults, the first “No Fish Taste” OMEGA 3. TARGETED AT KIDS AND ADULTS WHO HATE FISH OIL With a European market demand for omega-3 health products of $220m increasing at 11%% per annum, the only thing stopping the wider population from benefiting from the omega revolution is the dislike for the taste of fish oil. Now all of that has changed with the launch of new technology which eliminates the fish taste from omega 3.

(PRWEB) June 8, 2006

First Vitality International (http://www.1stvitality. com (http://www.1stvitality. com)) announces the launch of Omegasmooth BERRY for Kids and Omegasmooth Orange for adults, the first “No Fish Taste” OMEGA 3. TARGETED AT KIDS AND ADULTS WHO HATE FISH OIL

With a European market demand for omega-3 health products of $220m increasing at 11%% per annum, the only thing stopping the wider population from benefiting from the omega revolution is the dislike for the taste of fish oil. Now all of that has changed with the launch of new technology which eliminates the fish taste from omega 3.

OmegaSmooth represents a true breakthrough in fish oil technology.

Omegasmooth has all the benefits of high potency fish oil with a taste that’s truly amazing. Using breakthrough proprietary technology manufacturers Ascenta Health have naturally transformed fish oil into a silky smooth, sweet tasting liquid Strawberry and Orange flavour.

How is OmegaSmooth different?

The taste and texture of traditional oils has been completely transformed with OmegaSmooth. The texture is best described as smooth and creamy yet it is completely free of dairy ingredients. The technology used for OmegaSmooth has allowed for the first time a taste profile which has never before possible with fish oil. The taste has been described as sensational by preview customers. The company is simultaneously launching “Berry Sensation” For children and "Orange Sensation" for adults.

OmegaSmooth microspheres - super absorption

In addition to OmegaSmooth’s taste the customer also benefits from enhanced absorption. The use of organic matrix technology, means that the suspended omega-3 microspheres are more effectively broken down by the body’s digestive enzymes. The majority of fat digestion occurs in the small intestine where lipase enzymes are secreted by the pancreas and break down dietary fats. The rate at which the fat is digested and absorbed is dependant on the size of the fat particles. Because the Omega-3 fats in OmegaSmooth are broken down into tiny microspheres the action of the lipase enzymes is greatly enhanced.

First Vitality International (First Vitality (http://www.1stvitality. com) )is currently one of the largest resellers of Pharmaceutical Omega 3 products in Europe The company distributes the Ascenta range exclusively to major health stores and supermarkets including the Nutricentre group (Nutricentre (http://www. nutricentre. com))

Veterinarian Refuses to Let Pet Food Quality "Go to the Dogs"

Veterinarian Refuses to Let Pet Food Quality "Go to the Dogs"

American dog treats are all-natural and all-delicious

Doniphan, MO (PRWEB) September 16, 2004

For veterinarian Dr. Patricia Whisnant, dog food isn't a commodityÂ…it's a calling. An experienced professional who has made a career of being a "friend" to animals, Dr. Whisnant has seen for herself the value of feeding dog treats made with USDA pasture-raised beef that is safe for human consumption.

Unlike meat from rendering plants, the beef in American Dog Treats has no growth hormones and no antibiotics. "We work with local Ozark ranchers who raise their cattle humanely in grass pastures with no feedlots and no steroids," says Whisnant. "Our heartsÂ’ desire is to help these honest, dedicated ranchers find a market for their beef so they can continue to live and work their family businesses on the land they love."

While helping ranchers, Whisnant is also helping dogs. "American Dog Treats have no harmful artificial ingredients of any kind," she says. “Our treats are free of salt, chemical dyes, preservatives and rancid fats that could undermine health and vitality."

For years, Whisnant’s family has made dehydrated dog treats from 100% steak or liver for their pets. "When we recently acquired an old-fashioned hickory smokehouse," says Whisnant, "we decided to share our family recipe of healthy, natural USDA smokehouse dog treats with our friends and customers.”

“AmericanDogTreats. com gives city folks the luxury of connecting with trusted ranchers from the convenience of their homes," says Whisnant. "The beef we use is far superior to typical commercial dog food meat and even better than typical supermarket beef."

AmericanDogTreats. com, also offers a raw dog food line. Dr. Whisnant assures customers that their beef is safe for the whole familyÂ’s consumption, including their pets. "You donÂ’t see claims like that on standard dog food packages," she says with pride.

Pet owners are invited to browse AmericanDogTreats. com for pet-friendly and health-oriented products. For tail-wagging goodness and flavor that makes any dog go "bow-wow-WOW," American Dog Treats are definitely the "pick of the litter!"

The half-hour talk show, seen on TV and the Internet and hosted by Rabbi Marc Gellman and Monsignor Thomas Hartman, will be aired on WLNY-TV, Channel 55/10 in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut at 8 a. m. Tuesday, March 29. The episode with Dr. Gratale’s PowerCentering program will be rebroadcast on Cablevision’s Telecare TV-29 on Long Island at 8 p. m. Tuesday, 10 a. m. Wednesday and 6:30 p. m. Thursday.

“PowerCentering blends body awareness, breathing, posture, balance and centered movement into an exercise routine that's simple and fun to do,” says Dr. Gratale. “PowerCentering takes human performance and wellness to a new level with a revolutionary, unique combination of the best core-strengthening principles and ancient movement techniques.”

The doctor-developed exercise routine can be done in as little as 10 minutes or as long as 60 minutes. “Practicing PowerCentering helps people perform better at anything they do in life while achieving greater health, fitness and vitality,” Dr. Gratale says.

Dr. Gratale explains that anyone can do the exercises; it is appropriate for professional and elite athletes to individuals who haven’t exercised in 30 years. “I’ve even taught people in wheelchairs the PowerCentering Experience,” he said.

Benefits of PowerCentering include improved core strength and flexibility, an easing of stress and tension, relief from aches and pain, enhanced posture and improved energy, says Dr. Gratale.

PowerCentering is based on an awareness and utilization of the human body's center of mass, an inch or two below the navel inside the lower abdomen, according to Dr. Gratale. This physical center of gravity of the human structure is also the symbolic center of being and power, which makes PowerCentering so transforming, he said.

Dr. Gratale is a human performance specialist and certified strength and conditioning specialist, committed to empowering people of all ages to achieve their highest inborn potential for optimal health and quality of life. His philosophy of natural healing, wellness development and peak performance is transforming the lives of people through his revolutionary program, PowerCentering.

He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Upsala College and a Doctor of Chiropractic degree from New York Chiropractic College.

Viewers outside the tri-state area who don't get WLNY-TV or Telecare TV 29, the television station for the Roman Catholic Diocese of Rockville Centre in New York, can watch “The God Squad” episodes featuring Dr. Pete and Rabbi Gellman performing exercises from anywhere in the world via the Internet this week by going to http://www. telecaretv. org (http://www. telecaretv. org). The simulcast can be accessed at the times above by clicking on "Watch Telecare TV Live."

Dr. Pete will also be conducting workshops on PowerCentering in Atlanta April 8-9.

Urban Design Group Creates Western-Inspired “Cowboy Up” Rocking Chairs for 5th Annual Furniture 4 Kids Design Competition

Urban Design Group Creates Western-Inspired “Cowboy Up” Rocking Chairs for 5th Annual Furniture 4 Kids Design Competition

The 5th annual Furniture 4 Kids (F4K) event is scheduled for Wednesday, January 26, 2011 in Dallas, TX. Urban Design Group is proud to show their support for the F4K event and showcase their creativity and Texan spirit in designing two whimsical “Cowboy Up” rockers.

Dallas, TX (PRWEB) January 18, 2011 -

Urban Design Group is participating in the Furniture for Kids (F4K) design competition. The annual event is the brainchild of OFS Brands in partnership with G. L. Seman & Company. For the F4K event, Urban Design Group customized two rocking chairs with a Texas-inspired “Cowboy Up” theme. F4K will be held on Wednesday, January 26, 2011 from 6:00 to 10:00 pm at OFS Brands Showroom located at 1510 Turtle Creek Blvd, Suite 207, Dallas TX 75207. For more information, please visit http://www. furniture4kidsinfo. com

The F4K event includes a rocking chair design competition, silent auction and raffle items with a “Live Like a Rock-Star” grand prize (limited to 200 chances) that includes two tickets to a Lady Gaga concert, dinner, hotel and limo service. The F4K event will also feature food and beverages, music by “Stan Halen” (an 80’s tribute band) and opportunities to meet Dallas Maverick celebrity personalities.

For the 2011 competition, twenty-nine Dallas and Fort Worth design and creative firms are customizing rocking chairs. The designs will be exhibited, judged and put up for auction. The proceeds benefit the Dallas Mavericks Foundation a nonprofit group that assists young people through programs promoting education, good health and skills necessary for future success. The year, F4K is also partnering with the Dallas and Fort Worth Ronald McDonald Houses to donate furniture to help families of critically ill children.

Urban Design Group’s “Cowboy Up” rockers were inspired by old time western movies and the depiction of Texan culture. The firm created a child-size rocking horse and an adult-size rocking cowboy boot for the competition. The team also created a poem to accompany their whimsical rockers:

Ah rock’en in the saddle,
On ah cayuse he called Paint.
Ah chas’en longhorn cattle,
Jus’ to make them critters faint.

But, his ride ah clearly end’en,
As ol Paint began to slow.
And, his thirst ah need’n tend’en,
So he had one place to go.

“Ah’m buy’en all the drinks,” he roared,
“For all who’ll Cowboy Up!”
So, it was for his the barkeep poured,
Into a sippy cup!

The barkeep smiled as barkeeps do,
When he climbed into her lap.
For mommy’s little buckaroo,
Was ready for his nap!

“This is our first year to participate in Furniture for Kids,” said Ray Kahl, team captain for UDG. “We are really excited to participate in an event allowing us to showcase our creative skills AND give back to the community.” Other UDG team members who participated in this year’s design include: William Richardson, John Trammell, Carter Moore, Pj Hall, Patti Hansen, Lynnette Park, Brett Reavis and Kristen Cantrell.

Urban Design Group offers architectural, interior design, planning and urban design services to its worldwide clientele from studios in Atlanta, Georgia, and Dallas, Texas. A market leader in the application and advancement of Building Information Modeling (BIM) technology, UDG's personnel work on a wide range of projects from hospitality and gaming to corporate and mixed-use.

Surgical Scientific Products Help To Reduce Infection Risk In Dental Clinics

Surgical Scientific Products Help To Reduce Infection Risk In Dental Clinics

Hospital operating rooms, surgical centers, cath labs, dental and physicians offices, as well as laboratories and long - term care facilities, have required a product that makes all surfaces in health care settings conform to CDC protocols and guidelines for cleaning, sanitation and infection control. Hard Surface Cleaner was developed to "Provide Better Patient Outcomes", with a non-aggressive formula that can be used on LCD monitors, lighting diffusers and booms, laptop key boards, operating tables, cabinetry even floors and walls. Hard Surface Cleaner (HSC) is free of ammonia, bleach and alcohol.

Issaquah, Wa (Vocus/PRWEB) December 16, 2010

In the dental operatory, environmental surfaces (i. e., a surface or equipment that does not contact patients directly) can become contaminated during patient care. Certain surfaces, especially ones touched frequently (e. g., light handles, unit switches, and drawer knobs) can serve as reservoirs of microbial contamination, although they have not been associated directly with transmission of infection to either dentist or patients. Transfer of microorganisms from contaminated environmental surfaces to patients occurs primarily through dental health care professional hand contact. When these surfaces are touched, microbial agents can be transferred to instruments, other environmental surfaces, or to the nose, mouth, or eyes of workers or patients. Although hand hygiene is key to minimizing this transferal, barrier protection or cleaning and disinfecting of environmental surfaces also protects against health-care--associated infections. (Guidelines for Infection Control in Dental Health-Care Settings---2003)

According to Scott Hanna, CEO at QuickMedical, “The CDC has identified a number of protocols for infection control starting with clean surfaces. The new Hard Surface Cleaner from Surgical Scientific removes residual chemicals left on surfaces without the harmful effects of alcohol, bleach or ammonia which can shorten the life of expensive equipment.” Mr. Hanna concluded, “It has been recommended that alcohol and high-level disinfectants/liquid chemical sterilants not be used on any environmental surfaces.”

When the OSHA Blood borne Pathogens Standard was first enacted in 1991, several studies were conducted to substantiate the cost of infection control or prevention procedures for dentistry. The average cost was estimated to be about $15 per patient visit. This number included the cost of disposable items and barriers, personal protective equipment such as gloves and masks, replacement and repair of hand pieces due to required sterilization, the cost of sterilization equipment, and the use of disinfectants.

Jay Mussel, National Sales Manager for Surgical Scientific said, “Be aware of manufacturer's recommendations for or against using surface disinfectants on some equipment, and follow the manufacturer's guidelines for cleaning. A dental facility should establish a schedule for cleaning and maintenance on all equipment.” Mr. Mussel went on to say, “Dental equipment, such as patient chairs, will last longer if the manufacturer's instructions for cleaning and disinfection are followed; high-alcohol and other kinds of disinfectants may cause the upholstery to dry and crack. Be sure to follow the product instructions for use because good maintenance prevents costly repair bills.”

Global Cardiac Rhythm Management Devices Market to Reach $26.2 Billion by 2015, According to New Report by Global Industry Analysts

Global Cardiac Rhythm Management Devices Market to Reach $26.2 Billion by 2015, According to New Report by Global Industry Analysts

GIA announces the release of a comprehensive global report on Cardiac Rhythm Management Devices market. Aging global population, and rising incidence of cardiovascular abnormalities, has ensured steady growth for cardiac rhythm management products. Replacement needs, wider cross-section of eligible patient bases and further decline in the prices of CRM devices will propel global market for Cardiac Rhythm Management Devices to reach $26.2 billion by 2015.

San Jose, CA (PRWEB) June 29, 2009

Cardiac rhythm management devices, the largest segment of the cardiovascular devices market worldwide, comprises of pacemakers, internal cardiac defibrillators (ICDs), external defibrillators, and catheterization, mapping, and ablation devices. The market for Cardiac Rhythm Management Devices continues to gain momentum with rising incidences of cardiac rhythm abnormalities, expanded clinical indications of CRM devices, and technological innovations such as, product miniaturization, development of durable batteries, and biocompatible materials. ICDs, pacemakers, and external defibrillators are witnessing an expansion in application possibilities in addition to its present use in cardiac rhythm management.

Uses of pacemakers have extended from treating heart blocks and bradycardia, atrial arrhythmias to brain and spinal cord injuries, cerebral palsy, Parkinson's disease, severe pain management and certain forms of cardiomyopathy. Cardiac pacemakers, for instance, are being increasingly utilized to eliminate sudden mortality occurrence among epileptic patients. Treatment of Atrial Fibrillation (AF) remains the most unexplored segment of cardiac rhythm management market. Patients on sophisticated dual-chamber pacemakers are less likely to develop atrial fibrillation, or to be hospitalized for heart failure, than those who receive single-chamber pacemakers. Immense growth in the implantation of ICDs during the period 2003-2005, have also resulted in strong growth in the replacements of implants during 2008.

Although these devices have helped save numerous patients lives, and have been approved by the FDA as critical therapies for management of heart failure, technology glitches continue to frustrate functional performance of these devices. Putting behind the shock of product recalls that ravaged manufacturer revenues, and shaved market growth, the cardiac rhythm management (CRM) market is presently shaping up with the beleaguered players stepping up their emphasis on product safety and technology developments. The damage caused by high profile recalls, over the last few years, is likely to be offset by the unabated rise in heart treatment procedures, across the US, Europe, and other developing regions.

As stated by the new market research report, United States represents the largest market for Cardiac Rhythm Management Devices (http://www. strategyr. com/Cardiac_Rhythm_Management_CRM_Devices_Market_Report. asp). The market for CRM devices, although mature in the United States, is forecast to depict steady growth patterns due to the rising number of cardiac related disorders. Global Internal Cardiac Defibrillators market (http://www. strategyr. com/Cardiac_Rhythm_Management_CRM_Devices_Market_Report. asp) is expected to exhibit dynamic growth during the period 2006-2015. Pacemakers market (http://www. strategyr. com/Cardiac_Rhythm_Management_CRM_Devices_Market_Report. asp) in United States will experience a stable growth during 2006-2015 period.

Key players in the marketplace include Boston Scientific Corporation, Bard Electrophysiology, Biotronik GmbH & Co KG, Biosense Webster Inc, Medtronic Inc, Medtronic CryoCath LP, Vitatron Nederland BV, Philips Healthcare, St. Jude Medical Inc, and Sorin Group among others.

The report titled "Cardiac Rhythm Management (CRM) Devices: A Global Market Report" announced by Global Industry Analysts, Inc., provides a comprehensive review of industry overview, key regional markets, product overview, product introductions/innovations, profiles of major players, and recent industry activity. The report analyzes market data and provides analytics in value sales for regions including the United States and Rest of World. The study also analyzes the Cardiac Rhythm Management Devices market by the following product segments - Internal Cardiac Defibrillators, Pacemakers, External Defibrillators, and Catheterization, Mapping, and Ablation (CMA).

Launch of Institute of Civil Funerals

Launch of Institute of Civil Funerals

October 2004 welcomed the launch of a unique professional body, an Institute to set a national standard for the delivery of Civil Funeral Ceremonies in the UK.

(PRWEB) November 27, 2004

October 2004 welcomed the launch of a unique professional body, an Institute to set a national standard for the delivery of Civil Funeral Ceremonies in the UK.

A Civil Funeral is defined as: A funeral which is driven by the wishes, beliefs and values of the deceased and their family, not by the beliefs or ideology of the person conducting the funeral.

The Institute of Civil Funerals (IOCF) aims to provide ongoing professional development for members, monitor and regulate the quality of funeral ceremonies delivered and promote awareness of this important new choice for bereaved families.

The Institute is supported by notable Council members who have been invited to represent various key facets of ageing, society, death and the funeral services, each an expert in their field with invaluable experience, working together towards the InstituteÂ’s objectives which major heavily on improvement, education, diversity and quality standards.

A key objective of the IOCF is to identify those spheres where there are particularly traumatic or difficult circumstances surrounding a funeral that call for specialist knowledge, such as ceremonies involving retained organs, stillborn or pre-term babies, suicides and homicide victims.

Working in partnership with specialist organisations such as The Child Bereavement Trust, the IOCF will provide and facilitate specialist training, offering members the opportunity to gain advanced and specialised skills and to extend their knowledge base through training courses, workshops and seminars, enabling members to undertake such specialist funeral ceremonies.

The IOCF is taking on this difficult and much needed role with sincerity and amongst its responsibilities will promote the availability of specialist services, will deal with complaints and suggestions from Celebrants, the public and outside organisations and will promote the Institute and its members to Funeral Directors and the public. The IOCF will also facilitate member networking and sharing of experiences through conferences and an on-line Civil Funeral Celebrants Forum.

Membership of the IOCF is open to those who meet the criteria set out by the Institute; those celebrants who have already qualified and are practicing Civil Funeral Celebrants will have the opportunity to attain founder member status. Members are bound by the Code of Practice and will be assessed annually, on a quality control basis, to retain membership.

It is also recognised that there will be organisations and individuals, whilst not practicing celebrants, will have a real interest in the work of the Institute and who wish to benefit from an Associate Membership

The first Board meeting of the Institute was held in October 2004 and attended by the invited board members; Anne Barber (Chair), initiator of Civil Funerals and the Institute of Civil Funerals; Malcolm Johnson, Professor of Health and Social Policy at the University of Bristol; John Pearce, former Chair of the Humanist Ceremonies Committee; Mervyn Pilley, Chief Executive Officer of the National Society of Allied & Independent Funeral Directors (SAIF); Janice Thomson, Superintendent Registrar for the London Borough of Barnet and Civil Funeral Celebrant; Lesley Leon, Head of Corporate Communications and Marketing at Dignity Caring Funeral Services; Julie Dunk, representing the Institute of Cemetery and Crematorium Management; Paul Knight, Member of the Executive of the National Association of Funeral Directors (NAFD) Funeral Director and Training Officer for the Laurel Management Funeral Group; Marilyn Watts,( Secretary) IT Manager and System Developer responsible for the day-to-day operation of the Institute.

Further information about Civil Funerals can be found at www. civilfunerals. co. uk and the InstituteÂ’s website www. iocf..org. uk will be live in December 2004.

The Year Ahead: When Social Media and Search Emerge As One

The Year Ahead: When Social Media and Search Emerge As One

San Francisco Agency Discusses How the Convergence Of Search And Social Media Can Help Smart Companies Thrive In The Current Economy

San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) April 7, 2009

If brands talk, customers talk louder. Companies looking to have an impact in 2009 and beyond must start shifting focus from traditional marketing and advertising to integrated interactive marketing and social media strategies. Attributing an increase or decrease in sales volume to the millions spent on recent television ads is not enough anymore.

The San Francisco based agency e-Storm International has been helping over 100 trusted brands make this transition. William Gaultier, co-founder and CEO, explains that "social media creates the platform of true interactivity. As we continue to see marketing budgets contract, it will be the companies that can adapt to engage in two way conversations and a balance of professional and customer created content that will thrive. The convergence of online search with social media makes Social Media and SEO a must combination of marketing activities in 2009 and beyond." According to Forrester Research Inc., recommendations from consumers and consumer opinions posted online are two of the most important factors when making a purchasing decision. Consumers and professionals trust their friends and colleagues.

E-Storm explains that companies that are ready for social media interactions must first accept that social media impacts their bottom line and be willing to integrate it into their marketing mix. In addition, companies must understand that it is a long term commitment and a two way conversation and not an individual campaign. From there, planning and execution are relatively simple. It is important to benchmark early in the process. To achieve this,

Conduct a thorough social media audit of conversations about your company, products, services and your competitors on all channels such as twitter, blogs, bulletin boards, social networks, SMS, text messaging, photo, video networks using social media tracking tools such as Radian6

Next, Develop a 12 months social media plan that includes:
How social media goals should be aligned with business goals Staffing of all social media initiatives Identify ways for your Social Media initiatives to create a "link bait" or content which many bloggers/sites will want to link back to - helping your SEO Contingency plans on how to respond to crisis Executive participation programs (where, when, how executives should respond) Marketing/customer service/business units participation programs (where, when, how to conduct two way conversations with customers, partners, prospects) Develop social media guidelines for employees of the company

Measure the impact of your social media efforts on your customer acquisition, retention rates, customer satisfaction

Last, although SEO is finally getting the recognition it deserves, many social media practitioners don't understand the impact Social Media has on SEO. e-Storm recommends that companies engaging in Social media should always ask of their experts (internal or external) how to optimize Social media initiatives for search engines.

E-Storm has given been providing insights into Social media and SEO, the following are resources that it contributed at marketing conferences:

Sterling Heights, MI (PRWEB) September 12, 2004

Throughout the month of October 2004, individuals and healthcare professionals across the nation will recognize National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. This year marks the 20th anniversary of the cause, which was founded for the purpose of educating women about breast cancer detection, diagnosis, and treatment. In 1993, President Bill Clinton declared the third Friday of October as National Mammography Day, which falls on October 15 this year. Throughout the month of October, and on October 15, health care facilities across America will provide discounted or free screening mammograms in support of early detection.

In recognition of the fight against breast cancer, businesses and individuals join forces with breast cancer organizations to earn money to support research that is critical to finding a cure.

Don’t Pay Off That Mortgage, It Could Be the Biggest Mistake

Don’t Pay Off That Mortgage, It Could Be the Biggest Mistake

South Florida Mortgage Broker is educating homeowners on revolutionary new concepts

Pembroke Pines, FL (PRWEB) May 7, 2006

Paying additional principal toward your mortgage, or even getting a bi-weekly mortgage program, could be detrimental to your financial health.

That’s right. In most cases, instead of paying extra principal, there may be a better way to pay that mortgage off and experience financial freedom faster. “The truth is, you may never want to pay off your mortgage,” says Robert D. Ashby, President of Solid Rock Mortgage Corporation.

Mr. Ashby continues, “Why? Your home’s equity is not a safe investment. Equity has no rate of return and has no liquidity. You cannot access your equity without qualifying for a mortgage of some kind, which requires you to pay fees, and borrow your equity on the banks’ terms, plus you must prove you can qualify.” This is especially true in cases of job loss or some other financial crisis.

Additionally, by taking the money normally put toward extra principal and investing them in other safe investment vehicles, families can increase their liquidity, and realistically be able to pay off their mortgages faster. Families may even want to take out a new loan or refinance their current loan to increase safety, liquidity, and rate of return.

The majority of Americans carry huge credit card balances with high interest rates and most do not have enough money in savings to tide them over in a financial emergency. For this reason, refinancing or taking out a new loan may be even more beneficial for them by increasing their cash flow, which can then be invested to create a college savings plan, vacation plan, or even increase their retirement plan.

There are several strategies for the homeowner to consider that can allow them to experience financial freedom sooner than trying to pay off their mortgage as quickly as possible. Obviously, these strategies will not be advisable to everyone, so seeking the guidance of a Certified Mortgage Planning Specialist to find out which strategy is the best is a wise decision.

For more information regarding these concepts, contact Robert D. Ashby, Certified Mortgage Planning Specialist, at (954) 432-3450 or visit www. solidrockmortgage. com.

Las Vegas, NV (PRWEB) December 19, 2008

Dog-Wa, a liquid concentrate that provides dogs with essential vitamins and nutrients from leafy greens, has debuted a monthly online pet health column by renowned veterinarian Dr. Jane Leon, a graduate of Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Leon's mission, and that of Dog-Wa co-founders Matt and Jane Israel, is to educate people about pet health.

"Pet nutrition is a complicated subject. People want to make informed decisions about what is best for their animals," said Dr. Leon. "My goal is to help pet owners take a common sense approach to feeding their pets a balanced diet. Including high quality, fresh foods is an integral part of the plan," she added.

The monthly column at http://dog-wa. com (http://dog-wa. com) will focus on dog health, nutrition, digestion, wellness, supplements, herbs, and diet. Beginning this month, Dr. Leon will examine the role of herbs and greens in improving digestion, focusing first on gas problems. Dr. Leon, an expert in animal care, medicine, and surgery, is currently a director on the board of the Wildlife Rehabilitation Center of Central Florida. Previously, she hosted "Ask the Veterinarian," a daily television series on America's Health, and Fox's Health Network. She is a contributing author for Canine Medicine and Disease Prevention published by Animal Health Publications.

"Empowering our customers to make healthy nutrition choices for their pets is our top priority," explained Matt Israel. He added, "Dr. Leon's monthly column offers expert medical information in an easy to understand format so we can introduce Dog-Wa within the larger context of holistic wellness."

Dog-Wa, a solution of fresh peppermint and parsley, is a liquid concentrate that provides essential vitamins and nutrients available in these leafy greens. The fresh herbs aid digestion, soothe the stomach, freshen breath, and discourage gas. Nutrients in the herbs have been known to promote a shinier coat, stronger bones and teeth, healthier gums, and overall well-being. The herbs are holistically balanced and rich in Vitamins A and C, phytonutrients, chlorophyll, and antioxidants. Adding Dog-Wa to water or mixing it into food every day is an effective method to help maintain a dog's optimum health.

Dog-Wa is available through specialty pet suppliers and select web-based retailers such as http://www. inthecompanyofdogs. com (http://www. inthecompanyofdogs. com) and http://www. healthypets. com (http://www. healthypets. com). A Close Up on Avian Influenza

A Close Up on Avian Influenza

Singapore’s first public Bird Flu Symposium to showcase science behind disease prevention and control

Singapor (PRWEB) April 21, 2006

The Society of Bioscience and Technology and Temasek Junior College will jointly host a public symposium “A Close-Up on Avian Influenza” on Saturday, the 22nd April 2006 from 9am-1pm at the Auditorium, Temasek Junior College. Three regional experts will take the opportunity to discuss the recent outbreak of bird flu in Thailand, the risk of a similar event in Singapore and public health measures that must be taken for prevention and control of the disease.

Aimed at educating the business communities, interested public, bioscientists, students and educators, the educational event will highlight the origins of the bird flu virus and how it could evolve into a strain that spreads easily between humans, potentially causing a global flu pandemic.

Said President of the Bioscience Society, Patrick Tan, “We hope that the symposium will provide the public with an understanding of the nature of Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI). Participants who attend this event will receive first-hand scientific information from experts in the field based on current developments in the research and epidemiological monitoring of HPAI.”

In response to a WHO call for preparedness, the MOH in Singapore has drafted a national strategy for detection, containment and control of the virus in the event of a pandemic. As one of the Symposium’s invited speakers, Dr Cutter will cover this topic in greater detail during his talk.

We would like to invite journalists to cover the symposium (see attached location map). Please confirm your attendance with:

Lake Elsinore Family Caregiver Receives Free Power Wheelchair from the Scooter Store

Lake Elsinore Family Caregiver Receives Free Power Wheelchair from the Scooter Store

Left disabled and dependent from arthritis, Sandra Gares, 62, regains her independence.

Lake Elsinore, CA (PRWEB) August 31, 2007

Sandra Gares has spent her life caring for other members of her family, but now she is the one needing help. Poor health has caught up with Ms. Gares, who at 62, has become disabled by severe arthritis in her knees. To help her become mobile again, The SCOOTER Store is donating a Pride Jazzy Select 14XL (http://www. pridemobility. com/Products/Jazzy/JazzySelect14XL/jazzyselect14xl. html) power wheelchair to her.

Today, Ms. Gares received the power wheelchair from The SCOOTER Store as part of its “Gift of Mobility” program, which provides mobility equipment and assistance to individuals who do not have the resources or insurance coverage to purchase power wheelchairs and scooters. Eddie Cardenas, Mobility Manager of The SCOOTER Store’s Los Angeles location, worked with the National Chronic Pain Society (http://ncps-cpr. net/about. php) of Houston, Texas to make the gift available to Ms. Gares.

After seeing a television ad (http://www. thescooterstore. com/aboutus/commercials. aspx (http://www. thescooterstore. com/aboutus/commercials. aspx)) and visiting The SCOOTER Store’s website, her daughter, Carol Payne, wrote to the company seeking help. Ms. Payne explained her mother’s poor health and limited financial resources.

Ms. Payne and her mother were surprised to learn that The SCOOTER Store would donate a power wheelchair to Ms. Gares. Initially left “speechless” by the company’s unexpected generosity, they now happily report how “blessed” the family feels that Ms. Gares can make plans for being mobile and active again.

The immobility caused by the arthritis has been tough on Ms. Gares. Over the years, she had been on the go taking care of other family members–her five children, husband and sickly father. Since becoming immobile, Ms. Gares has often been home alone, suffering from cabin fever and missing her recently deceased husband of 45 years. Ms. Gares badly wants to get outside, enjoy the fresh air and meet her grandchildren on their way home from school. She says she is so “thrilled” to be able to have those experiences, thanks to the new power wheelchair.

Doug Harrison (http://www. thescooterstore. com/aboutus/bios/dougharrison. aspx), CEO and Founder of The SCOOTER Store, says he too is “pleased that the power wheelchair will restore Ms. Gares’s mobility and allow her more freedom. She has devoted so much to caring for others, we are happy to do this for her.”

Mr. Harrison and his wife, Susanna, started the Gift of Mobility program in December 2002 to help people like Ms. Gares improve their quality of life by regaining their independence and mobility. Since then, the outreach program has worked with organizations around the world to donate power wheelchairs (http://www. thescooterstore. com/products/powerchairs. aspx), scooters and manual wheelchairs, valued at more than $200,000 a year, to community service organizations, enabling them to provide freedom and independence to individuals with limited mobility.

About The SCOOTER Store:
Since 1991, The SCOOTER Store has helped provide freedom and independence to nearly 300,000 people with limited mobility. The SCOOTER Store offers a full line of power mobility products, including power wheelchairs and scooters, lifts, ramps and accessories in 47 states, including four locations in California (http://www. thescooterstore. com/locations/state/CA. html). The SCOOTER Store has worked with more than 100,000 physicians, providing expertise and quality service to their patients, and is accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Health Care.
