Americas Watchdog Discovers Toxic Chinese Drywall In Houston & Austin Texas

Americas Watchdog Discovers Toxic Chinese Drywall In Houston & Austin Texas

Americas Watchdog & its Homeowners Consumer have just discovered toxic Chinese drywall in large sub divisions in the Houston & Austin area metro areas. According to the group, "our big worry is that we will not only find more subdivisions or condominiums throughout Texas, but we will also find the toxic Chinese drywall in homes that have been remodeled after hurricane or storm damage in places like Beaumont, Texas." Toxic Chinese drywall corrodes copper & other metal, and has been associated with homeowners getting sick, due to exposure. For more information please contact the Homeowners Consumer center at 866-714-6466, or contact the group via their web site at Http://HomeownersConsumerCenter. Com

Washington, DC (PRWEB) April 21, 2009

Americas Watchdog & its Homeowners Consumer Center have been leading a national, & state by state investigation of toxic imported Chinese drywall since the beginning of the year. While the investigation initially focused on Florida, the toxic building material has now been discovered in significant quantities in Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, the Carolina's, Virginia, Maryland, Arizona, Nevada, California, and now Texas. According to the group, "our biggest fear with Texas has always been the amount of new homes built between 2003 & 2007, and or, homes that were restored after hurricane, or storm damage. We are certain a large number of contractors went cheap & purchased the toxic Chinese product, as opposed to drywall made in the US." If a homeowner suspects they might have toxic Chinese drywall in their home, they should call the Homeowners Consumer Center at 866-714-6466 or contact the group via their web site at Http://HomeownersConsumerCenter. Com

What Are The Updated Indicators Of A Home or Condominium Having Toxic Chinese Drywall?

The house has to have been built or remodeled after 2000. Most homes that will have the toxic Chinese drywall were built between 2003 & 2007. There may, or may not be a sulphur/rotten egg smell.

Most Importantly Health & Toxic Chinese Drywall:
There have been no formal health studies on the affects of exposure to toxic Chinese dry wall. However, some common denominators appear to present, as follow: nose bleeds, headaches, coughs, upper respiratory or sinus issues, rashes. In many cases victims have gone to a physician or a emergency room only to be told, "we can't tell what is wrong with you." The Homeowners Consumer Center believes that exposure to toxic Chinese drywall, and some of these medical symptoms are related, because homeowners in new homes in different parts of the country, different states, all share two things in common---the fact that Chinese drywall is in their house & they have these medical conditions. In many cases not everyone in the family will share the same symptoms. In some cases, the adults are fine, but the children are sick, or in other cases, the adults are sick and the kids are not. In many cases all of the homes occupants are sick. If you live in a home & suspect toxic Chinese drywall is present you can call the Homeowners Consumer Center anytime at 866-714-6466, or contact the group via their web site at Http://HomeownersConsumerCenter. Com
Family pets may have died from exposure in US homes with Chinese toxic drywall

Note with respect to health & exposure to toxic Chinese drywall one the Homeowners Consumer Center has heard repeatedly is, "I am in the house with the suspected Chinese drywall & I feel sick, or my family members are sick. We leave the home for a few days, or a week, & we all feel better."

Other Indicators of Toxic Chinese Drywall In A New US Home, Town Home or Condominium:
Homeowners, building owners, or occupants in most cases will have seen continuous failures of their air conditioning coils, or HVAC units beyond anything normal. Homeowners who suspect they might have the toxic Chinese drywall in their home should check the cooper coils on their air conditioning units. If the AC copper coils have turned black, or a grayish black they should contact the Homeowners Consumer Center at 866-714-6466. Homeowners, building owners, or occupants may have noticed corroded, or black electrical wiring in their walls in properties built or remodeled since 2001. Many homeowners who have the toxic Chinese drywall in their home might have copper ground wires in the electrical receptacles that have turned black. Homeowners who suspect their home may have the Chinese drywall can remove electrical receptacle plates to see if the cooper ground wire has turned black. If a homeowner in any state sees this, they should call the Homeowners Consumer Center immediately at 866-714-6466. Oven, or stove elements, or refrigerator coils may have failed in the homes, or condominiums a number of times. The homeowners Consumer Center has also discovered that computer, microwave information display panels may have failed in homes, where the toxic Chinese drywall is present. Light bulbs in homes with toxic Chinese drywall may burn out at a much faster rate than specified by the manufacturer. High end silver jewelry, or silver plated utensils may be tarnished.

Note to all US Citizens. "If you have friends, or family who live in a new, or remodeled homes since 2001, & the family has had severe medical issues, combined with copper discoloring, electrical issues, light bulbs going out, at an unusually high rate, please share this press release with them, & have the contact the Homeowners Consumer Center at 866-714-6466, if they have the symptoms. The groups web site is located at http://HomeownersConsumerCenter. com (http://HomeownersConsumerCenter. com)

Youniverse Reveals a Better Body as the Route to Happiness

Youniverse Reveals a Better Body as the Route to Happiness

Social Network's Survey Shows that Fitness Promotes Wellbeing

London, UK (PRWEB) June 12, 2009

Youniverse, the social discovery website, which defines its users' VisualDNA, enabling them to learn more about themselves and connect to people that share their interests, has identified that health and fitness coupled with a positive self image is a key factor in how happy we feel as individuals.

Survey results from over 130,000 people who took the Youniverse personality quiz showed that of all the aspects of their life that users could change, they wanted to alter their bodies the most, with 20% of respondents indicating that they want to reduce their waistline.

Around 26% of users indicated a desire to achieve something related to their health and fitness in the next few years, whilst 21% were of the opinion that the best way to achieve this was by attending the gym, second to just over 14% of users who prefer to play team sports to get fit.

Youniverse was founded by parent company Imagini, and aims to help its users discover more about themselves by learning their personal VisualDNA. By completing several different personality tests, users can work out more about their subconscious nature, and why they act this way.

The tests are split into different genres, which range from the simple movies test, that tells users what kind of films are best suited to them, to much more complicated tests such as the love test (http://www. youniverse. com/love), which gives users an idea of what they are like as a lover and suggests other users that they are likely to be compatible with.

The tests are conducted by having users select pictures that fit their answers to questions that form each test. The result is a set of personalised images for each person, which is then cultivated into an individual's unique VisualDNA, a digital representation of their personality.

Imagini has also designed a way for writers to make money blogging (http://shops. visualdna. com/marketing/make-money-blogging), through the implementation of a VisualDNA Shops widget. The widget offers viewers suggestions for products that they are likely to be interested in from Amazon. com and any successful referrals are translated into profit for the blog owner.

Homemade Drugs: Methamphetamine Menace Fastest Rising Drug Threat

Homemade Drugs: Methamphetamine Menace Fastest Rising Drug Threat

As families, law enforcement, and governments worldwide continue their battle to thwart the menace of drug abuse, their efforts are being curtailed by the fastest rising threat to date--homemade methamphetamine. (www. drugabusestatistics. samhsa. gov)

Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) October 19, 2006

According to a report in Issue #37 of The National Survey on Drug Use and Health, the trafficking of methamphetamine and its abuse has been spreading eastward over the past decade. The number of meth labs seized increased 25% between 2001 and 2004. The report also points out in detail, state-by-state, the use of the drug from 12-year-olds on up to adults.

This class of drugs are easily manufactured with readily accessible over-the-counter medications and substances. For a few dollars these chemicals can be procured and created in homes, offices, schools--anywhere one can secret them.

Not only are they easy to produce, but the procedures for manufacture can be found in any of numerous venues, primarily websites that detail their deadly production.

Almost every day the safety of citizens is compromised by these illegal laboratories as they often explode, injuring and killing not only the manufacturers but innocent civilians unaware of their existence. Rescue squads and hospitals not only have to deal with treating the harmful and deadly effects of these chemicals on the users but also the devastating effects of explosions and fires and deadly fumes. (www. cops. usdoj. gov/mime/open. pdf (http://www. cops. usdoj. gov/mime/open. pdf))

Add to this the byproduct of toxic chemical wastes and it is obvious that growing meth use and production is not only a hazard to the users but also to the manufacturers, or 'cooks,' as they are called. In addition, law enforcement, rescue, and hazardous waste responder personnel are at risk when seizing these labs.

These drugs, sold cheaply in alarming quantities, offer the user a powerful and equally addictive high. The downside is an unprecedented addiction ratio compared to other similar substances. In a recent story, reporter Keith Elkins focuses on the ease these substances are acquired and their horrid after-effects. (http://keyetv. com/local/local_story_285214922.html (http://keyetv. com/local/local_story_285214922.html))

The U. S. (as well as other countries), families, and communities that are suffering under the yoke of these chemicals are valiantly trying to confront and handle the growing terror.

According to data presented to Congress, the DEA has been making remarkable headway in this battle. (www. usdoj. gov/dea/pubs/cngrtest/ct040606.html (http://www. usdoj. gov/dea/pubs/cngrtest/ct040606.html))

On April 6, 2006, the Administrator for the Drug Enforcement Agency, the Honorable Karen P. Tandy, testified before the United States House of Representatives Committee on Appropriations Subcommittee on Science, the Departments of State, Justice, and Commerce, and Related Agencies. According to Ms. Tandy, the DEA has done remarkably well in battling the menace of methamphetamine on several fronts. They spent $176 million in fiscal year 2005 to battle meth and $18.8 million to administer 8,897 clandestine laboratory cleanups.

We must also note the DEA's international alliances and efforts. Canada, Hong Kong, and Mexico are working with the DEA to handle shipments of chemicals that could be used to manufacture methamphetamines. Additionally in 2005, according to Tandy's data, 105 Mexican officials were trained to handle chemical control and clandestine laboratories. Targeting netted a bust in March 2006 of 200 pounds of methamphetamine. (www. ojp. usdoj. gov/bjs/pub/press/dudsfp04pr. htm (http://www. ojp. usdoj. gov/bjs/pub/press/dudsfp04pr. htm))

On October 11, 2006, the Department of Justice's Bureau of Justice Statistics put out a release entitled "Methamphetamine Use Increasing Among State And Federal Prisoners". Startling data was gathered that states that since 1997 'prior' meth use among state and federal prisoners has increased. The Bureau states that the 7 percent increase of offenders using the drug one month prior to their arrest jumped to 11 percent in 2004. Meth use during an offense rose from 4 percent to 6 percent during the same period. The data was collected via the BJS "Survey of Inmates in State and Federal Correctional Facilities," done periodically since the 1970's, and in 2004 involved the use of confidential personal interviews with a national representation of approximately 14,500 state and 3,700 federal prisoners.

The study also states that of women inmates, 17 percent of state and 15 percent of federal inmates had a higher likelihood of having used meth in the month prior to their offense.

Drug rehab programs are busting at the seams with victims who have fallen prey to methamphetamines. The Narconon® drug rehabilitation and education programs are at the forefront of this battle. Using drug rehabilitation methods based on the revolutionary discoveries of humanitarian and author L. Ron Hubbard, Narconon and its global staff stand shoulder-to-shoulder with governments, parents, and law enforcement to bring about a worldwide change to rid humanity of the devastating effects of substance abuse. The drug-free Narconon approach is heralded throughout the world for its humane and effective delivery. Founded in 1966 by Mr. William Benitez, who himself battled drug abuse, Narconon staff work tirelessly to bring humanity out of the trap of alcohol and other drug abuse.

AirAdvice Launches Anticipated BuildingAdvice™ System: Comfort & Energy Savings Diagnostics for Improved Building Performance

AirAdvice Launches Anticipated BuildingAdvice™ System: Comfort & Energy Savings Diagnostics for Improved Building Performance

AirAdvice, Inc. has launched BuildingAdvice™, the anticipated next generation in wireless building performance diagnostic systems. BuildingAdvice™ is a powerful, yet easy-to-use platform that offers a web-enabled system of networked sensors integrated with energy modeling software to quickly rate the energy performance of commercial buildings, identify opportunities for reducing energy costs and improving the efficiency of HVAC systems, and accurately calculate the return on investment for proposed energy conservation measures.

Portland, OR (PRWEB) October 29, 2007

AirAdvice, Inc. has launched BuildingAdvice (http://www. airadvice. com)™, the anticipated next generation in wireless building performance diagnostic systems.

BuildingAdvice™ is a powerful, yet easy-to-use platform that offers a web-enabled system of networked sensors integrated with energy modeling software to:
Quickly rate the energy performance of commercial buildings Identify opportunities for reducing energy costs and improving the efficiency of HVAC systems Accurately calculate the return on investment for proposed energy conservation measures

"In our research with building owners and facilities managers, we kept hearing the need for help in reducing energy consumption and comfort complaints," says Tim Kensok, director of business development at AirAdvice. "The BuildingAdvice platform enables contractors and facilities managers to quickly see which buildings offer opportunities for significant improvements that address these important drivers."

Wireless sensors communicating via a ZigBee® mesh network to a cellular-enabled gateway enable building performance parameters to be easily accessed, completely independent of the building infrastructure. This is important in applications where no building automation system exists, or where access to the system is not readily available.

In addition to the sensor and wireless communications technology, the BuildingAdvice platform integrates comprehensive energy modeling, analysis, and reporting features. EnGen™, the BuildingAdvice platform's patent-pending energy model generation software, automatically combines building background data (utility bills, usage profile, and HVAC system information) with continuous real-time sensor data (temperature, humidity, carbon dioxide, light levels) to produce an energy model of the building that is calibrated to the actual weather conditions and energy consumption for the prior 12 months. This approach offers significant advantages in accuracy and simplicity compared to other, more theoretical building models.

"Using actual weather and utility bills as inputs to our model ensures that when we calculate the potential for energy savings, we're starting from a real-world baseline," says Kensok. "It makes tasks like ranking the energy performance of a portfolio of buildings easy, and provides objective, quantifiable savings estimates."

The BuildingAdvice platform automatically generates reports that summarize the building performance assessment and provide a return on investment (ROI) analysis to support proposed energy conservation measures, greatly accelerating the decision-making and resolution process. In addition, BuildingAdvice users have access to ongoing specialized training, technology and business development coaching, go-to-market materials, web-based tools, and other resources that ensure successful system utilization and support building performance growth strategies.

"I'm looking forward to using the [BuildingAdvice] next generation wireless system," says Steve Hatheway, Siemens energy engineer. "[It will] help me rapidly identify building optimization and efficiency improvement opportunities for my commercial customers. If I can calculate ROI and energy savings for the proposal automatically, I can qualify and close complex upgrade and optimization projects much quicker."

To learn more about the BuildingAdvice system's features and advantages, visit www. airadvice. com.

About AirAdvice, Inc.
AirAdvice develops innovative technologies to monitor and analyze building performance and indoor environment factors that impact system and building efficiency, as well as occupant comfort, health, and safety. Surviving Mesothelioma, a Terminal Cancer: Paul Kraus' Remarkable Story

Surviving Mesothelioma, a Terminal Cancer: Paul Kraus' Remarkable Story

The Premier Edition of Cancer Monthly’s CancerWire focuses on mesothelioma and how one patient has survived a terminal diagnosis. Like Cancer Monthly, the focus of CancerWire is on treatment results. While, Cancer Monthly reports the cancer treatments results published in the peer reviewed medical literature, CancerWire reports on results that have not yet enjoyed the visibility of a major Phase I, II, or III clinical trial. This may include the extraordinary results a patient experienced by trying a new or innovative approach or the results achieved by a researcher or physician as they treat cancer patients in their hospital or clinic.

(PRWEB) March 18, 2005 –

For anyone faced with a dire prognosis of cancer or any other disease, the following interview will inspire you. In the annals of cancer, mesothelioma is one of the worst possible types of cancer to have. In the words of oncologists it has a "dismal therapeutic outcome"¹ and is "an aggressive incurable tumor."² The median survival from diagnosis ranges from 6 to 18 months³. Despite this prognosis, Mr. Paul Kraus is alive nearly 8 years after he was diagnosed with peritoneal mesothelioma. What is equally remarkable is that Mr. Kraus had no orthodox cancer therapies - he opted to say 'no' to chemotherapy, surgery, and radiation. Instead, Mr. Kraus made radical lifestyle changes, altering his diet, using intravenous and oral vitamins, herbs, amino acids and other immune boosting therapies and supplements, and tapping into the power of the mind-body connection.

The Interview

Cancer Monthly: Paul can you tell us when you were diagnosed and what types of symptoms you experienced that led to your diagnosis?

PK: I was diagnosed at the end of June 1997. The only symptom I had was a very bloated abdomen. I did not have any pain. I actually went into the hospital for an umbilical hernia repair and the cancer was an accidental finding. During the surgery the surgeon removed a lot of fluid from my abdomen. He also conducted a laparoscopic examination that revealed widespread metastases. He first thought that I had metastatic pancreatic cancer. It took two or three weeks for the pathology to come back from Sydney and say that in fact it was mesothelioma.

Cancer Monthly: And that diagnosis was reconfirmed by another hospital?

PK: Yes, my pathology was sent to Australia's leading pathologist in mesothelioma cases, Professor Douglas Henderson of Adelaide. They had two teams of pathologists verify and confirm the diagnosis. In fact, it was confirmed as peritoneal or abdominal rather than pleural mesothelioma. This is a very unusual subtype, even within the annals of mesothelioma.

Cancer Monthly: Does peritoneal mesothelioma have the same kind of dire prognosis as the more frequently encountered pleural mesothelioma?

PK: Yes. In fact, when we first went to a professor of oncology in Sydney, we thought that peritoneal is less dangerous than pleural. He shook his head and said, "Oh, no, oh no. In fact, in some ways it is even more difficult." To read the rest of the interview go to http://www. cancermonthly. com (http://www. cancermonthly. com)

Asbestos & Mesothelioma: David Chervenick, Esq., The Law Offices of Goldberg, Persky & White http://www. gpwlaw. com (http://www. gpwlaw. com)

I read with interest the interview with Paul Kraus. It is great to know that, for some people with mesothelioma, lives are extended and, significantly, the quality of that life is good. I have learned through my 17 years of representing mesothelioma victims that one's outlook on life and the disease is very important in extending one's life…To read the rest of David Chervenick’s comments go to http://www. cancermonthly. com (http://www. cancermonthly. com)

Alternative Intravenous Therapies in Cancer: Richard Kinsolving, Ph. D.,Immune Recovery Foundation http://www. immunerecovery. net/index. htm (http://www. immunerecovery. net/index. htm)

The treatments employed by Mr. Kraus are among many of the "standards" in alternative medicine. Unfortunately, it is often difficult to ascribe the exact degree of for each individual component in a treatment, as they so seldom have been used exclusively as a single agent. Clearly, the major contributors to his favorable outcome are the intravenous ascorbic acid (vitamin C), Ukraine, and to a lesser extent, ozone…To read the rest of Dr. Richard Kinsolving’s comments go to http://www. cancermonthly. com (http://www. cancermonthly. com)

Cancer and the Immune System: Devin Ryerson, D. O. Pure Prescriptions www. pureprescriptions. com

After reading Mr. Kraus' interview, I found it to be both amazing and inspirational. I'm also connected to his story on a personal level. Being a cancer survivor myself and losing my father to this epidemic, I can certainly relate to what Mr. Kraus describes as a "...struggle with myself, with my constant fears and doubts." The Mind/Body Connection: Wendy Goldner: The Wild Divine Project http://www. wilddivine. com/CancerMonthly_WildDivine/ (http://www. wilddivine. com/CancerMonthly_WildDivine/)

I was impressed with Paul Kraus' ability to articulate the role the mind has in potentially contributing to disease and in helping one to overcome one's diagnosis. There is a great deal of scientific and medical literature describing how stress can pressure the body and leads to some form dis-ease. Whether it's hypertension, migraines, depression, anxiety, chronic fatigue or cancer - stress takes its toll on both the physical and mental well-being. CHCI, Wal-Mart Partnership Creates Pathway to Leadership, Diversity on Capitol Hill

CHCI, Wal-Mart Partnership Creates Pathway to Leadership, Diversity on Capitol Hill

The Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute (CHCI), the nation’s premier Latino youth leadership development and educational organization, graduated its first spring class of CHCI Walmart Congressional Interns thanks to the support of Walmart.

Washington, DC (Vocus) April 29, 2010

The Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute (CHCI), the nation’s premier Latino youth leadership development and educational organization, graduated its first spring class of CHCI Walmart Congressional Interns thanks to the support of Walmart. CHCI received a $1 million donation from Walmart in 2009 to add spring and fall sessions to its award-winning Congressional Internship Program for the next three years. CHCI recently received the second installment of the three year commitment from Walmart, its first ever Legacy Partner.

"Walmart is committed to expanding opportunities for young Latinos across all sectors of society. Walmart's support of the expansion of the CHCI Congressional Internship Program reflects this commitment by increasing diversity on Capitol Hill where Latinos are severely underrepresented. This program opens the door for young talented Latinos to experience the public policy arena," said E. Ivan Zapien, Senior Director, Federal Government Relations, Walmart.

Eight Latino students from around the country completed their twelve week session working in congressional offices last week. CHCI also provides intensive weekly leadership development curriculum that promotes giving back to the community.

During their time in Washington, D. C., CHCI Walmart Congressional Interns blossomed into civically engaged leaders as they wereinvolved with projects educating the community on the importance of 2010 census participation, rallying on Capitol Hill for immigration reform, and volunteering to serve food at a local soup kitchen.

"This is truly a unique class of individuals, coming from six different states, and all committed to giving back to the community," said Esther Aguilera, CHCI President & CEO. "Thanks to Walmart's support as a CHCI Legacy Partner, we can eventually triple the number of students we bring to Washington, D. C., to work on Capitol Hill."

The CHCI Walmart Interns were provided a unique experience as they met with U. S. Housing and Urban Development Secretary Shaun Donovan, toured the State Department, witnessed the passage of health care reform from the House Gallery, and participated in a Walmart Mentor day, where interns shadowed Walmart's federal relations team in Washington, D. C., gained hands on experience, and expanded their networks.

CHCI’s Congressional Internship Program was formerly a summer-only program, providing hands-on work experience in Congress for 30 Latino college undergraduates. Walmart’s support has allowed CHCI to add spring and fall semesters for the first time and CHCI will welcome the first new class of fall CHCI Walmart Congressional Interns in August 2010.

University Lab Technologies Files Patent for ARTHROLVE ULT(TM): University Lab Technologies Announced Today the Filing with the United States Patent Office for Its Blockbuster Arthroleve ULT(TM) Product for the Treatment of Arthritis

University Lab Technologies Files Patent for ARTHROLVE ULT(TM): University Lab Technologies Announced Today the Filing with the United States Patent Office for Its Blockbuster Arthroleve ULT(TM) Product for the Treatment of Arthritis

Today's announcement marks the first of several patents the company has planned for the products in its product development pipeline.

Ferndale, WA (PRWEB) January 17, 2007

Dr Jarret Morrow, President and Chief Scientific Officer, was quoted as saying: "We believe that our patent submission represents a significant step forward in our mission of identifying, researching, and patenting formulations which are comprised of natural compounds that have clinically proven efficacy. Our patent filing represents a significant advancement in the preparation of pharmaceutical grade nutraceutical products which utilizes our advanced Slick Cap Technology(TM) to provide the optimal absorption mechanism for our key ingredients."

Arthritis represents the number one condition for which patients seek alternatives to prescription and over the counter pharmaceutical pain medication. Currently the marketplace for nutraceutical arthritis products is dominated by products which primarily contain glucosamine and chondroitin sulfate which take several weeks to work and provide limited pain relief. Conversely, our revolutionary Arthroleve(TM) product contains a synergistic combination of three ingredients which are clinically proven to provide significant relief of arthritic pain. Clinical studies have demonstrated that two ingredients in our formulation provide the same level of pain relief as Vioxx(TM) or Celebrex(TM), without any significant side effects.

The US joint pain market includes more than 43 million U. S. adults who suffer from arthritis and chronic pain. Approximately one-half of these individuals suffer from osteoarthritis. Other common rheumatic conditions include gout, fibromyalgia and rheumatoid arthritis. Arthritis affects people in all age groups including nearly 300,000 children. Arthritis accounts for 3% of all hospital intakes and nearly 4% of all ambulance services. Costs to the U. S. economy totals more than $86.2 billion annually. Statistics compiled by the National Center for Chronic Disease Prevention and Health Promotion say that Arthritis and other rheumatic conditions are the main cause of disability in the USA. By 2030, they estimate that 64.9 million Americans will have been formally diagnosed with an arthritic condition.

Dr. Morrow went on to say: "The withdrawal of such blockbuster pharmaceutical products such as Vioxx(TM) and Celebrex(TM) has left millions of patients without a safe alternative for the relief of arthritic pain. We feel that this represents an incredible opportunity for the launch of our patent-pending, revolutionary Arthroleve product."

About University Lab Technologies (http://www. universitylabtechnologies. com (http://www. universitylabtechnologies. com)): Every year university labs around the globe identify, research and test natural compounds and formulations which have the potential to improve the quality of life of our lives.

Over 98% of these potentially life changing discoveries are never commercialized for the benefit of the public.

University Lab Technologies, in collaboration with universities worldwide, researches and identifies those compounds that have proven evidence based effects and have the greatest potential for improving our lives.

University Lab Technologies' mission is to deliver the latest advances and discoveries in natural compounds packaged in our unique patented formulations and delivered to satisfy the needs of consumers for the treatment of many common chronic ailments. www. universitylabtechnologies. com

Lachie Mackintosh Joins Henderson Loggie

Henderson Loggie, one of Scotland’s top five independent accountants and business advisers, has reached an agreement to integrate Lachie Mackintosh’s long established accountancy practice with their existing Edinburgh office.

(PRWEB) March 30, 2006

Henderson Loggie, one of Scotland’s top five independent accountants and business advisers, has reached an agreement to integrate Lachie Mackintosh’s long established accountancy practice with their existing Edinburgh office.

Oxford educated Lachie Mackintosh trained as an accountant with Coopers & Lybrand in London, before relocating to Edinburgh to join Coopers & Lybrand’s practice in the late 1970’s.

In 1992, he set up his own accounting firm from which he has had to retire on health grounds.

Henderson Loggie, which was founded in Dundee in 1909, expanded rapidly during the 1990s through acquisition, taking over much of the Dundee practices of both Ernst & Young and KPMG. In 2002, they opened an Edinburgh office, growing from 4 employees to 26 in less than four years.

The addition of Lachie Mackintosh’s accountancy practice has been welcomed by Jandy Stevenson, partner with Henderson Loggie in Edinburgh:

“We are pleased to welcome Lachie and his clients to Henderson Loggie for what we are confident will be a smooth transition of a very successful sole practice business into one of Scotland’s leading accounting firms.”

“Henderson Loggie has a reputation for delivering high quality, affordable accountancy advice which is important to firms operating in Scotland’s SME sector. Lachie has established high levels of service for his clients over the fifteen years he has been trading and we will be continuing this good work,” she concluded.

Lachie commented, “I am delighted to be working with Henderson Loggie. It was important to me to ensure that clients continue to be cared for and receive a high level of professional advice. I rest safe in the knowledge that Henderson Loggie and I share the same values and that their professional approach will be welcomed by the clients.”

Popular Chiropractic Blog Helps Doctors Make More and Dominate the Internet Locally

Popular Chiropractic Blog Helps Doctors Make More and Dominate the Internet Locally

Entrepreneur, innovator and practice growth coach Dr. Matthew Loop, is actively ensuring that fellow chiropractors are able to utilize the new patient-pulling power of the Internet. He's announced his commitment to further help his colleagues prosper this year. Loop, who understands how the new information and social networking-based Internet works, has taught doctors about marketing and online new patient generation since early 2006. He does this by enabling others to utilize the techniques he freely gives away on his blog at http://dcincome. com/blog

Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) October 4, 2010

Dr. Matthew Loop, who is the founder of DCincome. com and has maintained a highly successful chiropractic marketing blog, announces his commitment to further help fellow chiropractors expand their internet influence while dominating their online local landscape. Loop is a leading industry authority on internet practice marketing and understands how to drive massive traffic and convert it into new patients and more sales. He empowers chiropractors by showing them how to utilize Web 2.0.

"People need to understand," said Loop from his Atlanta office, "that the Internet has changed and that Web 2.0 represents the new, potent Net. There are numerous tools that local business owners, such as chiropractors, can use to expand their reach and new patient base." Loop observes, "The new Internet is about creating a presence through blogging, videos, articles, press releases, social networks, and media that are information based and through which chiropractors are seen as being valued resources for quality information."

Thus, the point of a chiropractic blog is to ultimately earn the trust, credibility, and respect of the public. It is an advertisement in a very indirect way. A great chiropractic blog doesn't extol the virtues of a specific doctor. It offers visitors insights into health issues, nutrition, exercise and lifestyle and in that way it's owner, who is a chiropractor, becomes respected and trusted by those who frequent the blog. Sometimes the blog can even allow readers into the doctors personal life to reveal a humanizing aspect.

Loop adds, "A successful blog includes instructional content, images, informative videos, community interaction, links to other sites and more. A chiropractor or other local business person can increase their search engine rankings and web presence by utilizing Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and other popular social networking and media sites. You see," Loop notes, "the blog is connected to all of these sites and so a chiropractic Facebook Fan Page connects to their Twitter page and to their videos on YouTube and it all funnels back to their blog. When that happens, the doctor's influence and exposure start to increase as more and more people access their articles, blogs, videos and press releases. This increases and enhances likability and trust of a chiropractor on the Internet."

Loop is aiding chiropractors in growing their new patient base rapidly from the web and develop information products the doctor can sell. For more information on the newest chiropractic marketing strategies that work go to http://dcincome. com/blog

The US Whey Proteins market is anticipated to reach 472.3 million pounds by 2015, driven largely by functional advantages of whey proteins and surging demand from nutrition industry. Developments in technology of whey processing and investments in R&D are other major driving forces for the growth of the whey proteins market.

San Jose, California (Vocus) June 1, 2010

Whey has emerged from being a low-profile commodity used in livestock feed to a value-enhancing ingredient with numerous desirable nutritional and functional properties. Developments in technology of whey processing and investments in R&D have led to greater recognition and understanding of the underlying health benefits associated with whey products. Whey protein market momentum is primarily being driven by the functional advantages of whey proteins, isolates and concentrates. Buoyed by the surging popularity, whey has emerged to play a key role in the worldwide protein industry. Whey proteins play a vital role in the formulation of amino acid and protein profile in infant formulas, making it nutritionally similar to mother’s milk and thereby enhancing its nutritional value to infants.

The growing nutrition industry, which includes sports nutrition, dietary supplements, functional foods and clinical nutrition, is the principal driving force for the market growth. Moreover, high-end whey protein isolates (WPI), whey protein concentrates (WPC) and whey protein hydrolysates (WPH) are exhibiting substantial growth rates, owing to the rising demand from nutrition and health segments. With an enhanced focus on technological and functional properties, WPI, WPC and WPH are anticipated to widen their field and scope of application.

The United States and Europe dominate the global whey proteins market, as stated by the new market research report on whey proteins market. High-end technological developments in the utilization of whey proteins and enhanced investments in R&D are paving way for the development of newer and highly applicable whey derivatives. Moreover, with suppliers customizing their products as per the buyer’s specifications, demand for whey proteins is expected to increase in the coming years. However, rising prices of whey proteins are affecting the global market demand for whey proteins, as formulators of food products in the food processing, bakery and confectionary sectors are switching to low cost proteins and vegetable oils.

Key players profiled in the report include Arla Foods Amba, Cargill Inc, Dairy Farmers of America Inc, Davisco Foods International Inc, Erie Foods International Inc, Foremost Farms USA, Glanbia PLC, Grande Custom Ingredients Group, Hilmar Cheese Company, Leprino Foods Company, and Royal FrieslandCampina, among others.

The report titled “Whey Proteins: A US & European Market Report” announced by Global Industry Analysts, Inc., provides a comprehensive review of market trends, competitive scenario, product introductions/innovations, and recent industry activity. The study analyzes the US market data and analytics in terms of volume and value sales by the following segments - WPC-34, WPC-80, and WPI. A Woman’s Work is Never Done

A Woman’s Work is Never Done...

Women have always had a lot on their plate. They juggle careers, families, school, and now they are even taking care of men's health. Men are often hesitant to keep up with their health. Be it laziness or pride, more and more men are only going to see their doctor at the urging of the woman in their life!

Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) August 9, 2006

It seems as if woman don’t have enough to do! When it comes to their own health men are generally don’t pay much attention. To them it is rather like asking for directions while driving. It now falls to the wives, girlfriends, mothers, sisters and even the executive assistants to insist on check-ups, following through on treatments and being fully proactive in the decision making process of health care. Perhaps it is that machismo gene that is at fault.

With September being Prostate Cancer Awareness Month a lot of medical message marketing is being directed at men. But doctors attribute the significant females of their male patients as responsible for men taking better care of themselves. Dr. Alexander Gershman, founder of the Institute for Advanced Urology, notes the best partner in health care is the female significant person along with the doctor to achieve maximum goals.

Prostate Cancer once considered a death sentence is now curable, controllable and treatable if caught in time.. Nearly a quarter million men in the U. S. will be diagnosed with prostate cancer this year. The fact that patients can return to a previous full lifestyle is not lost on this responsive and receptive audience. Where once men diagnosed with prostate cancer refused treatment and became victims of the disease, rather than survivors, they are coming forward in unison all telling the tale and awarding kudos to their wives etc. for forcing their awareness and making them face and deal with their treatments, continuing follow-up monitoring and loosing the ostrich approach to health. Men with prostate cancer need to take an active part in making decisions about their care. However, shock and stress after the diagnosis can make it hard to think clearly. And that’s where their female partner can be of help.

When a new treatment effecting enlarged prostates, such as THERMATRX, (a MICRO WAVE innovative procedure) is in the news the immediate reaction of those natural born caretakers are to find out more, call their doctors and gather insight and information which they make sure is absorbed and diligently ingested.

Our #1 Goal is Patient Safety

Our #1 Goal is Patient Safety

MedChron, L. L.C. Announces Its Goal to Patient Safety. Medical Chronology Timelines will help insure patient safety while cutting cost spent on malpractice.

(PRWEB) March 1, 2003

MedChron, L. L.C., a medical chronology timeline service is proud to announce the launch of their new web site. www. medchronllc. com. MedChron is a new and upcoming company in Germantown Tennessee which has been in business for several months. They provide a combination of legal services with a medical staff of Certified R. N's who are committed to implementing a "patient safety" checkpoint system throughout our medical community.

MedChron's CEO's Jillyan Walker and Kathy Romero are excited about their new venture and what impact their company can have on the medical community. They are quoted as saying "our Vision Statement says it all, we are committed to facilitating a structure which increases the efficiency and quality of healthcare provided and decrease the cost spent on medical malpractice".

Each of us currently live with the fact there is a lack of patient-safety practices which has increased our public awareness to a possible medical negligence. Our medical community has incurred expenses for discovery phase of lawsuits well over $100,000 and those expenses are rising. Doctors malpractice insurance companies are not renewing policies. All of which has given rise to high cost of medical malpractice insurance and costs our healthcare system in ways we are all faced with, labor shortages and cost costs all affect the quality of care we receive.

"We know the system we are currently operating within can improve, we understand that the advantages of implementing our services is not something we will see an immediate return on, there are many more steps that need to be taken, but we are confident that MedChron can start a patient safety process that will, in time, end this madness" says Jillyan Walker, Owner and CEO of MedChron.

MedChron is currently pursuing JACHO compliance and will keep us posted as to their progress. Currently they have met with representatives at Methodist Health Care and are awaiting a response from Baptist Hospital they are currently working with malpractice insurance providers with the hope they can implement a "discount" incentive program to doctors malpractice insurance premiums who are implementing MedChron's services in their practices.

MedChron is everyone's "First Step to Understanding".

SMARTCODE™ CORP. provides the First EPC RFID Tag For Tire Auto Identification - Company Will Assist to Enhance Tire Recalls Saftey

SMARTCODE™ CORP. provides the First EPC RFID Tag For Tire Auto Identification - Company Will Assist to Enhance Tire Recalls Saftey.

The new product line will offer a low cost, high performance solution for Tire manufacturers and Car manufacturers with a cost effective solution to comply with the US TREAD law (Transportation, Recall, Enhancement, Accountability and Documentation).

New York, NY (PRWEB) October 11, 2004

SMARTCODE™ CORP., the world leader in low cost, high performance EPC RFID tags and readers, announced today it's new line of low cost EPC RFID solutions for the Tire industry. The new EPC RFID tags will ensure the Tires are not counterfeit, and will maintain a real time status and location on each and every Tire from manufacturer, distributor and retailer until its final destination, the authorized and verified purchase by consumers. EPC RFID will assist Tire manufacturers and car manufacturers to comply with the TREAD (Transportation, Recall, Enhancement, Accountability and Documentation) Act.

It is estimated that in the United States alone, more than 320 Millions new Tires are sold each year. The US Congress passed the TREAD (Transportation, Recall, Enhancement, Accountability and Documentation) Act in the wake of the Firestone/Ford Explorer debacle. The act mandates that car makers closely track tires from the 2004 model year on, so they can be recalled if there's a problem.

Placed on the inside of the vehicleÂ’s tires, the EPC RFID tag identifies the tires that are associated with a specific vehicle. Each tag contains a unique coding structure or DOT (Department of Transportation) number, which includes the manufacturing plant, tire size, the unique components of the tire and the week and year the tire was manufactured.

“We are very happy to support the Automotive Industry Action Group (AIAG) efforts in ensuring the US tire safety by adopting the EPC RFID standard for Tire identification.” Said Avi Ofer, SmartCode™ Corp. President, “SmartCode™ Corp., as the industry leader in the low cost, high performance EPC RFID is delighted to be one of the first companies worldwide to accelerate the usage of EPC RFID as the the de facto Tire Identification and to provide the essential building blocks for the prevention of this life-and-death issue.”

Founded in 1982, AIAG is headquartered in the metro Detroit area. Its more than 1,600 member companies include North American, European and Asia-Pacific OEMs and suppliers to the automotive industry with combined annual sales of more than $850 billion. A not-for-profit association, AIAGÂ’s primary goals are to reduce cost and complexity within the automotive supply chain and to improve speed to market, product quality, employee health-and-safety and the environment.

The usage of low cost EPC RFID has many advantages over the ineffective bar code system. EPC RFID uses radio frequency to communicate and therefore, cannot be easily counterfeited like barcode labels and do not require a direct "line of sight". In addition, the information contained in the Tire database can also be updated in real time, without the need to scan the barcode label each time. This means, for example, that all Tire shipments will be recorded at once, as opposed with the manual, labor intensive scanning of the barcode labels in each and every one of the millions of Tires purchased each year.

Until toady, the prices of RFID tags of an average of 50 cents, have created a cost barrier for companies worldwide to adopt the RFID solution as the replacement of the inefficient barcode technology. With SmartCode™ Corp.’s exclusive patented manufacturing technology, SmartCode™ Corp. can manufacture these RFID tags at a price level of 5-10 cents, in large volumes.

About SMARTCODE CORP.

Been Crapped On By Someone? Get The Word Out

Been Crapped On By Someone? Get The Word Out.

New Website Launched To Help Spread The Word About Nasty People

(PRWEB) August 30, 2003

eMedia, LLC today launches a new website that is the answer to a question that many people have been asking. The question: How can I get back at someone who crapped on me, who treated me real bad? The answer: www. CrapOnMe. com.

Conceived by the President of eMedia LLC, www. CrapOnMe. com is the site where people have the opportunity to describe how they have been crapped on by other people. Said Jim J. Hobuss, President of eMedia, LLC, “I developed the idea for this site when someone that I knew had been really crapped on by her landlord. This landlord knew there was toxic mold in her apartment that was causing health problems for my friend, but he did nothing about it. Eventually, my friend moved out. Within a week, that landlord had a family with a small child moved into the apartment, and the mold that was hidden in the wall was never cleaned up. It was then that I thought there had to be a better way. There had to be a way for people like my friend to post descriptions of this event in her life, and the name of her landlord, so that other people can read about him and make a more informed decision about whether they want to rent from him or not.”

This website is valuable to a huge percentage of the population. To people who have been dealt with unfairly by someone else, the site is a place where they can go and document their treatment. In a very real way, their ability to do this is cathartic. People who are considering doing business with other people or a particular business can come to the site and read any posts that might exist about that person or business. And for everyone else, reading the stories of others can be very entertaining.

Said Jim J. Hobuss, “most people don’t know it, but Insurance Companies in the United States all have access to, and report to, a national database of policy holders. Whenever a claim is filed on an insurance policy, the company owning that policy creates a record in this database. The consequence to this deceptive practice is that the person who tries to find better rates with another insurance company has the cards stacked against them … the other insurance company has all your claim history. One of the benefits of this site is that it takes an element of control away from the insurance companies. Now, the general consumer has the opportunity to read how an insurance company they are considering doing business with treats its existing policyholders.”

The www. CrapOnMe. com site has many easy-to-use and convenient features that will make the browser want to come back frequently. For example, there is a top 10 list that describes the 10 most crappy reports made by people. There is also a Featured Crap list that describes the most popular crappy reports made.

The site is free to access and use.

“We feel it is important that people have this voice. People and companies that you are considering doing business with all have a reference list that has been carefully crafted to only give positive and glowing reports. What good is that? With this site, people have the opportunity to read the negative reviews.” Jim J. Hobuss continued, “Whether you have been crapped on by someone, are considering doing business with someone and want to check to see if they have a tendency to crap on people, or, just have a few minutes and want to be entertained, this site is a must-see bookmarked site. When you come and take a look, you’ll want to come back often.”
