Youniverse Reveals a Better Body as the Route to Happiness

Social Network's Survey Shows that Fitness Promotes Wellbeing

Youniverse, the social discovery website, which defines its users' VisualDNA, enabling them to learn more about themselves and connect to people that share their interests, has identified that health and fitness coupled with a positive self image is a key factor in how happy we feel as individuals.

Survey results from over 130,000 people who took the Youniverse personality quiz showed that of all the aspects of their life that users could change, they wanted to alter their bodies the most, with 20% of respondents indicating that they want to reduce their waistline.

Around 26% of users indicated a desire to achieve something related to their health and fitness in the next few years, whilst 21% were of the opinion that the best way to achieve this was by attending the gym, second to just over 14% of users who prefer to play team sports to get fit.

Youniverse was founded by parent company Imagini, and aims to help its users discover more about themselves by learning their personal VisualDNA. By completing several different personality tests, users can work out more about their subconscious nature, and why they act this way.

The tests are split into different genres, which range from the simple movies test, that tells users what kind of films are best suited to them, to much more complicated tests such as the love test (http://www. youniverse. com/love), which gives users an idea of what they are like as a lover and suggests other users that they are likely to be compatible with.

The tests are conducted by having users select pictures that fit their answers to questions that form each test. The result is a set of personalised images for each person, which is then cultivated into an individual's unique VisualDNA, a digital representation of their personality.

Imagini has also designed a way for writers to make money blogging (http://shops. visualdna. com/marketing/make-money-blogging), through the implementation of a VisualDNA Shops widget. The widget offers viewers suggestions for products that they are likely to be interested in from Amazon. com and any successful referrals are translated into profit for the blog owner.
