Chris Pennell, co-founder of Kinetic Chromotherapy™, shares a stunning testimonial just days after the client received a treatment, "I just wanted to share with you something that I thought you might be interested in. For the last 4 years, I have had an abnormal white cell count. It kept elevating and the doctor didn't know why. He would run a lot of blood work tests and keep a eye on it, but it still would not go down to normal. I am happy to report Friday I went for blood work and for the first time in 4 years, my cell counts are completely normal. He is still going to keep a watch on it. But his words were, 'whatever you are doing, keep doing it.' I strongly think it was the Kinetic Chromotherapy system. Also my blood pressure is normal and it hasn't been for the last 2 years. Thank you!"

Kinetic Chromotherapy™ System Availability

Spa owners, health & wellness centers, specialized clinics, beauty salons, chiropractors, energy workers, massage therapists and others will find this system consistently brings in extra income potential with repeat customers looking for much needed stress relief. Industry “Stars” Show Sensational Support for WellChild at Annual Energy Dinner

Industry “Stars” Show Sensational Support for WellChild at Annual Energy Dinner

Event Raises More Than £1,004,594.00 Across Its Seven-Year History

London (Vocus) April 30, 2010

On April 22, Platts (http://www. platts. com/) rolled out the red carpet for this year’s Hollywood-themed Energy Dinner (http://www. wellchild. org. uk/events-energydinner. asp) in aid of WellChild (http://www. wellchild. org. uk/), the U. K. national organisation for sick children and one of patron Prince Harry’s six favourite charities.

“Thanks to the industry’s generous donations, this year’s Energy Dinner raised £188,090.00,” said Dan Tanz vice president of news and pricing at Platts, the energy information arm of The McGraw-Hill Companies and Energy Dinner sponsor since 2004. “We’re proud to announce that monies raised over the event’s seven-year history bring the total Energy Dinner contributions to £1,004,594.00 which support WellChild and the children and families it helps.”

Held in the ballroom of London’s Park Lane InterContinental Hotel, the Oscar-glam atmosphere attracted more than 500 guests including patrons from Rolls-Royce, Barclay’s, BP, Gazprom, CME Group, and Merrill Lynch, among a long list of others. A 20th Century Fox-style stage, complete with floodlights, showcased vintage, Hollywood-inspired entertainment acts throughout the evening.

But the real headliner of the night was WellChild's new campaign the “Reach Out For Sick Children Nurse Appeal.” All proceeds from the Energy Dinner were donated to the campaign which aims to more than double the nursing staff that provides home care for chronically ill children. Through WellChild, donation funding of £160,000.00 can cover the costs of round-the-clock nursing for a chronically or terminally ill child for up to three years.

“The fact that this year’s event raised enough money to fund four new WellChild nurses for one year is something we’re so tremendously thankful for and speaks to the shared commitment we all have to meeting the needs of sick children,” said WellChild Chief Executive Colin Dyer.

WellChild helps sick children and their families throughout the U. K. as they deal with the consequences of serious illness and complex conditions by focusing on three key areas - care, support and research. The charity provides a team of WellChild Children's Nurses who work with families to ensure that children with complex care needs can leave hospital and return home and, through its Helping Hands scheme, WellChild enlists the support of volunteers to tackle practical projects in the homes of sick children. In addition, the charity has invested more than £20 million in ground-breaking children's health research projects.

In March 2007, Prince Harry became the first royal patron of WellChild and he has shown a personal commitment to helping WellChild improve opportunities for seriously ill children and young people. To learn more about Price Harry’s WellChild patronage (http://www. wellchild. org. uk/WhoWeAre-OurPatron. asp) and the organisation, visit http://www. wellchild. org. uk (http://www. wellchild. org. uk).

Notes to Editors:
WellChild is the national charity for sick children and is committed to helping children and their families throughout the UK as they deal with the consequences of serious illness and complex conditions. WellChild focuses on three key areas:

These specialist nurses help to ensure that children with complex care needs can leave hospital and return home, and they are vital in the prevention of frequent re-admissions.  WellChild Support: The practical help provided by the WellChild Helping Hands scheme enlists the support of volunteers from companies and organisations up and down the country to tackle individual home development projects.  WellChild Research: WellChild has invested more than £20 million in ground-breaking children’s health research projects. Triumph Modular Marks Opening of State of the Art Temporary Modular Child Care Center at Harvard University

Triumph Modular Marks Opening of State of the Art Temporary Modular Child Care Center at Harvard University

Triumph Modular, the Northeast's premier provider of temporary and permanent modular buildings, today announced the completion of its latest project

Littleton, MA (PRWEB) December 29, 2009

Triumph Modular, the Northeast's premier provider of temporary and permanent modular buildings, today announced the completion of its latest project – a custom designed, green modular facility for the Harvard Yard Child Care Center and Oxford Street Daycare Cooperative in Cambridge, Massachusetts.

The new 5,700 square-foot child care facility – located on the campus of Harvard University – includes a variety of green, sustainable features to achieve the highest-quality, healthy environment for children and employees.

“Who would have thought that a green, relocatable modular building would be so welcome? But what was even more surprising to everyone involved was that a project like this could be so cost effective,” said Cliff Cort, President of Triumph Modular. “Triumph is proud to have installed this innovative sustainable building on Harvard’s campus. And we are thrilled that the children served by it will have a healthy new space in which to learn and grow.”

The modular building features solar tube skylights to maximize natural light use, sustainable “Green Guard” insulation, high-grade sealants, and a white rubber roof that reflects solar heat. Air quality is maintained with non-toxic construction materials, finish surfaces, and paints containing low levels or no volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and a high-efficiency Bard mechanical system. That system - which has tested up to 35 times quieter than traditional systems - was selected to reduce sound transfer to facilitate learning.

Other features of the child care center include exterior sun shades that shield the interior of the facility from the sun and reduce the need for air conditioning, recycled materials for the interior walls and carpet tiles, and a state of the art HVAC system that regulates and brings in air from the outside as needed. Controls are used to modulate both temperature and ventilation based on varying occupancy in each room and coordinated sensors turn off lights when there is no activity in the room.

“The building actually learns over time from the occupancy patterns and adjusts the ventilation appropriately,” said Peter Anderson of Anderson and Anderson in San Francisco, which designed the facility. “When you walk inside there is an immediate sense that this is a healthy environment. That’s a good comfort for parents and staff.”

For the next 18 months, the building will house the Harvard Yard Child Care Center, and then the Oxford Street Daycare Cooperative, while their permanent locations are being renovated. Once Harvard completes renovations, the fully relocatable Triumph building –which has a 50-year lifespan – will be placed into service elsewhere.

Triumph Modular has long been committed to designing and implementing sustainable modular classrooms, and has worked with some of the most innovative architects in the industry. The company created the Triumph Smartspace building system –one of the first moveable modular classrooms in the country designed with sustainability in mind – which won multiple green design awards for its application at the Carroll School in Lincoln, Mass. Earlier this year, Triumph also created and installed a high-performance modular preschool building in North Andover, Mass. The company is also involved in developing zero-net energy applications for high-performance modular, and is part of an innovative collaboration to develop the CASE 21 “perfect classroom” - a high-performance learning environment employing state-of-the-art classroom design.

The family business was founded in 1981 and has evolved today to become an industry leader in the development of permanent quality, sustainable green modular buildings. 3% of U. S. Adults Lead Healthy Lives, According to Recent Study

3% of U. S. Adults Lead Healthy Lives, According to Recent Study

According to a recent study conducted by Michigan State University, a mere 3% of U. S. adults maintain healthy lifestyles habits. Employer sponsored health promotion programs are on the rise as a way to encourage healthy lifestyles.

Portland, OR (PRWEB) May 25, 2005

According to a recent study conducted by Michigan State University, a mere 3% of U. S. adults maintain healthy lifestyles habits. Data was gathered from over 150,000 adults through telephone surveys. Surveyors rated health on four indicators including eating at least five fruits and vegetables per day, not smoking, exercising for at least thirty minutes five or more times per week, and having a healthy body mass index (BMI).

The lead author of the study, Dr. Matthew J. Reeves, told Reuters Health one likely reason for the results is that currently there is a “cultural norm” to live unhealthy lives. “If most people around you are overweight, and don’t exercise and eat mostly fast food, then it’s very hard to see the need to change the way you are living,” Reeves speculated.

Employer sponsored health promotion programs are on the rise as a way to encourage healthy lifestyles. Dave Miller is director of the health and wellness benefit program, the LifeBalance Program, and is the Oregon state representative for Health Promotion Advocates. Since the creation of the LifeBalance Program back in 1996, the goal has been to encourage people to take a proactive approach towards their health and well being by encouraging members to participate in various forms of recreation and culture.

“Slowly but surly employer groups are beginning to realize that if their employees are more healthy they are essentially more productive and more cost effective to have on their team. High risk employees, those that are overweight, not active and make poor lifestyle choices are becoming less and less attractive to employers,” Miller says.

Absolute Recreation Management, Inc. (ARM) is a privately held company headquartered in Portland, Oregon. The company was founded in 1996 and currently operates business-to-business programs and services based on proper work/life balance and healthy lifestyle promotion. The LifeBalance Program is sold to businesses as an employer sponsored employee benefit or the program is bundled into Health Plan offerings or Association plan offerings as a value added wellness component. The LifeBalance Program currently supports over 1,000 clients and boasts over 350,000 LifeBalance Program members. Existing strategic relationships include: Providence Health Plan, Associated General Contractors, Xenium Resources, Providence Health System and PeaceHealth. Visit www. LifeBalanceProgram. com for complete program information.

Tracking Bush Administration Lies

Tracking Bush Administration Lies

Four web-based organizations now provide citizens, government officials, journalists, and activists a real-time record of Bush administration distortions, deceptions, and lies.

(PRWEB) May 15, 2004

“George W. Bush is a liar. He has lied large and small, directly and by omission. He has mugged the truth—not merely in honest error, but deliberately, consistently, and repeatedly.” —David Corn, The Lies of George W. Bush

“Whether the topic is taxes or Social Security, the environment or education, Medicare or foreign wars, the aggressive deception of the American people is the foundation on which each Bush policy is built.” —Paul Waldman, Fraud: The Strategy Behind the Bush Lies and Why the Media Didn’t Tell You

Four web-based organizations now provide citizens, government officials, journalists, and activists a real-time record of Bush administration distortions, deceptions, and lies. Each group offers an email digest of breaking stories, with all stories archived on the respective sites. These organizations must come to the attention of the American public, in order that we the people may have easy access to credible, well-researched information, which we can use to discern truth from fantasy and fact from falsehood.

Misleader: A Daily Chronicle of Bush Administration Distortion

Misleader. org will provide an accurate daily chronicle for journalists of mis-representations, distortions and downright misleading statements by President Bush and the Bush Administration. Misleader. org is presented as a service of MoveOn. org, the on-line public interest group.

Media Matters for America:

Media Matters for America is a not-for-profit progressive research and information center dedicated to comprehensively monitoring, analyzing, and correcting conservative misinformation in the U. S. media.

Conservative misinformation is defined as news or commentary presented in the media that is not accurate, reliable, or credible and that forwards the conservative agenda. For the first time, Media Matters for America has put in place a system to monitor the media for conservative misinformation – every day, in real time—in 2004 and beyond.

The Center for American Progress:

The Center for American Progress is a nonpartisan research and educational institute dedicated to promoting a strong, just and free America that ensures opportunity for all.

The Center for American Progress has launched a new database project, Claim vs. Fact, to chart conservatives' dishonesty—and compare it with the truth. In this database, each conservative quote will be matched against well-documented facts, so that users can get a more accurate picture of the issues. Claim vs. Fact documents statements from conservatives like President Bush, Vice President Cheney, members of Congress, and Fox News personalities. Each fact is sourced, and in many cases includes a web link directly to that source.

Bush Greenwatch: Tacking the Bush AdministrationÂ’s Environmental Misdeeds

Bush Greenwatch provides accurate and timely information on the Bush Administration's assault on our environment and public health. Bush Greenwatch is dedicated to expanding media coverage and public awareness of the many vital environmental and public health issues affected by the administration's anti-environmental agenda, which consistently places the interests of corporate donors above the public good. BushGreenwatch is a project of Environmental Media Services, a nonprofit communications clearinghouse, with support from MoveOn. org, the online advocacy group.
