CNS VITAL SIGNS ANNOUNCES AVAILABILITY OF SPANISH LANGUAGE

TESTING SUPPORT FOR NEUROCOGNITIVE TESTING BATTERY

Test Allows Healthcare Providers to Assess the Neurological Condition of Spanish

Speaking Patients

Chapel Hill, NC - CNS Vital Signs, announced the addition of Spanish language testing support within the CNS Vital Signs Screening Battery. The Screening Battery is an easy-to-use computerized neurocognitive testing application unveiled at this yearÂ’s American Psychiatric

Association Meeting. The application provides physicians and other healthcare providers a tool to objectively measure neurocognitive problems with memory, attention, motor speed and other neurological conditions, a process that heretofore required specialized hardware and perhaps specially trained personnel.

“Feedback from users encouraged us to provide a Spanish version of the Screening Battery”, stated Alan Boyd, CEO of CNS Vital Signs. “It was a priority to get this out to our customers. We feel it is very important to serve this growing segment of the population, especially when

Language barriers may exist between patient and provider.”

The Spanish version is bundled with the English version in one application so users need only upgrade to the current version or download the current version if this is a new install. (Download from www. cnsvs. com)

A second enhancement is included in this upgrade. The upgrade allows specific test selection. For providers wanting to focus on a specific condition, the test select function will provide them with the flexibility to administer specific tests within the Screening Battery.

The Screening Battery is administered in 30 minutes or less on conventional hardware. It generates a concise intuitive report immediately after patient testing. The application provides millisecond precision on tests of attention and memory on modern WinTel computer platforms.

CNS Vital Signs, located in Chapel Hill, NC, develops computerized tools allowing healthcare providers to assess and track treatment of neurologic states and diseases.
