Greater Miami Chapter of the National Coalition of 100 Black Women to Hold Membership Informational

Miami Gardens, FL (PRWEB) July 17, 2006

The Greater Miami Chapter of the National Coalition of 100 Black Women, Inc. will be hosting a membership informational meeting on Saturday, August 5, 2006 in the Auditorium at the North Dade Regional Library, located at 2455 NW 183rd Street in Miami Gardens.

The National Coalition of 100 Black Women (“The Coalition”) is a nonprofit organization that serves as an advocacy organization to support women of color through leadership development, networking, political action, health awareness, mentoring, and scholarship.

The Greater Miami Chapter has a long and successful history of providing public service programs to the residents of Miami-Dade County. Since 1992, the Coalition, through our sisterhood, has been committed to providing a variety of community-based programs. This past year, The Coalition held its inaugural Ready-Set-Life Gala to provide grant funds to young women aging out of the foster care system. The Coalition has also offered career development and mentoring and self-esteem workshops for young girls. The Coalition is here to develop and support the next generation of women.

We cordially invite you to learn more about our Chapter and how you can become an advocate for positive social change in the Greater Miami area.

The event is free and a networking reception will follow the meeting. Space is limited. Please RSVP by Friday, July 28, 2006.
