There Ought to be Clowns

There Ought to be Clowns

The Joyologist Pat Armitstead says “ We swing between grief and joy most of our lives as we respond to and deal with the life events that ultimately shape us. The trigger for hope as we move through those times that test us, is laughter. ”Pat has just returned from a tour of Russia with Patch Adams, re-energised by her contact with 36 other people in clown persona and numerous soulful encounters with Russias orpahns. She is preparing to launch her second series of Humour and Art as Therapy programs, which include ground breaking experimental work using latex to create representations of "life wounds"; bodycasting and photographic portrayals of bodies ravaged by disease; and using the notion of multiple intelligences to find your joy.
