Accreditation will enable i. Power Solutions - Mackay to perform certified repairs and modifications of flameproof mining equipment and non-flameproof electrical equipment in Mackay
According to i. Power Solutions Mackay Branch Manager, Mr Tony Muguira, the accreditation of i. Power Solutions Mackay workshop, coupled with the installation of 1kV, 3.3kV and 11kV test power supplies will give the companyÂs operations a significant technical edge in the mining electrical overhaul business.
I. Power Solutions is the first electrical overhaul workshop in Mackay where employees have competencies to AS4761- (competencies for working with electrical equipment for hazardous areas). For customers, this means i. Power Solutions personnel and procedures will satisfy the requirements of Coal Mining Safety and Health legislation.
The accreditation coincides with the companyÂs entry in the longwall market in collaboration with British based manufacturer, Baldwin and Francis. The Mackay branch provides manufacturing, engineering design, site service and now, electrical repair and overhaul, to the mining industry
