Every Day is Earth Day for Companies that Discover Environmental Sustainability is Free
NC environmental consulting firm celebrates 25 years of helping companies operate in a manner that is both environmentally sustainable and safe for its employees.
Cary, NC (PRWEB) April 20, 2006
Environmental Resource Center announced today that it is celebrating its 25th anniversary in conjunction with Earth Day, April 22, 2006.
“I strongly believe that every company can operate in a manner that is both environmentally sustainable and safe for its employees,” said Brian Karnofsky, president of Environmental Resource Center. “I started this company with that principle in mind, and for 25 years, I have enjoyed helping companies realize their ability to accomplish this.”
In 1981, Karnofsky founded the company with the goal of providing superior environmental consulting and training services to industry, as well as to academia and government agencies. Environmental Resource Center began as a one-person consulting firm, and today the company is a $3 million business employing 20 people and serving organizations like Schering-Plough, John Deere, Exxon-Mobil, Goodrich, and Oxychem.
The company is best known for the hazardous waste and hazardous materials training seminars that it presents at over 300 locations each year. Recently, many of these sessions were made available online. The company also conducts environmental and safety audits throughout the U. S.
“Environmental compliance is free.” Karnofsky continued, “Wastes that go up the stack, down the drain, or are carried away in drums are valuable resources. The cost to eliminate the generation of hazardous waste, air emissions and water effluents more than pays for itself in the long run.” Communities are fighting amongst themselves to lure “green companies,” and employee applicants are virtually knocking down their doors to work for them.
Environmental Resource Center is a full-service environmental, health, and safety consulting firm that has been serving the needs of private industry and government agencies since 1981. The Cary, NC consulting firm has satellites in Texas, Georgia, and New England. More information about Environmental Resource Center is available at www. ercweb. com.
