Evarts, KY (PRWEB) September 10, 2006

George D. Stewart, Evarts, KY—September 10, 2006 -- George D. Stewart has been a writer for over 20 years. He wrote a monthly column in the Lamplighter at Metropolitan Community Church (MCC ILLIAMO) in Quincy, Illinois for two years. In Ohio, he wrote for his college newspaper the Open Air which later became the University Chronicle at Shawnee State University. He graduated from Lindsey Wilson College School of Professional Counseling in Columbia, Kentucky. At one time, he was a distinguished columnist for Kentucky’s GLBT newspaper The Letter. He has been named to the Jaycees "Outstanding Young Men of America" and listed in "Who's Who in Poetry." He is currently working on his Maters degree in Counseling and LPCA licensure.

As with all his works, Mr. Stewart attempts diligently to write in a highly simplistic manner avoiding complex phrasing or "highfaluting" language. He has taken a large number of classes in the field of psychology and has seen many of his peers colleagues fall into the trap of using big words and presenting simple psychological concepts in a pseudo-intellectual manner. He has long believed that the real measure of a true intellect is not only that he (she) possesses knowledge and keen insights, but that he can present his "stuff" in a logical manner to grass roots people in order that they can both understand and share his scholarly wisdom (if any exists). Therefore, this book is not structured for strict gram¬marians, linguists, or academic snobs.

Secondly, Mr. Stewart states emphatically for almost three decades that the rais¬ing/rearing/relating to children is BY FAR the most important task the human animal performs, and that such has been true for the four to six million years that humanity has roamed this earth. Therefore, I consider this book THE MOST RELEVANT BOOK HE WILL EVER WRITE!

Mr. Stewart has a longstanding reputation as a challenging, pro¬vocative and exciting son/brother/uncle/student/mentor; an articulate and humorous public speaker; an insightful and forthright writer; and as a highly prolific and creative human being. His most recent work, Voice of the Hills: Poetry and Prose from the Eastern Coalfields, is considered by many as an outstanding achievement in the field poetry and prose.

George is also a songwriter and a full member of the National Scholars Honor Society and the Kentucky Mental Health Counselors Association (KMHCA). His song The Light that Lights the Candle is available on the America compact disc from Hilltop Records in Los Angeles, California.
