Bobbi has been deliberately throwing up and taking laxatives. Her obsession has not only driven her to bad and deceitful company, but is likewise gradually affecting her health. Together with another childhood friend, Margo takes on the duty to help Bobbi and regain her self-confidence without putting her life into danger. But can they do it before it’s too late?
Written in a lighthearted manner, yet substantially insightful, Skeleton in the Closet follows the plight of one teenager whose social norms led her to give up her true happiness and risk her own life. It conveys how media is incorrectly glamorizing and popularizing rail-thin models and actresses, which causes young minds to have an alarming desire to be skeletons. Alejandra O. Reed lives in Mesa, Arizona, for thirty-three years, after moving from Alexandria, Virginia. She has one brother and two sisters. One of which is a twin sister and a published author. She is the mother of a grown son and daughter. The grandmother of five grandchildren: two girls, three boys, ages three years through eighteen years old. The author is the owner and CEO of a nonprofit organization for the promoting, securing, and advancing the future of children, the up-and-coming next generation. She lives alone with her cat, Bobby. Reed acknowledges her passion for writing is a god-given gift. She is an ordained minister, who gives God the praise for her gifts.
