Local Entrepreneurs Launch Eco-Friendly E-Commerce Site

Atlanta-based entrepreneur launches ShopGreenVillage. com, a web retailer focused on sustainable green products.

Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) November 25, 2008

Atlanta-based entrepreneur, Chuck Rose, has announced the launch of his newest venture, shopgreenvillage. com, a retail web site, which is meant to sell products which help to raise consumer consciousness about the environment.

Shopgreenvillage. com has partnered with Atlanta-based ecosource Home & Garden for a quick launch in order to capture the momentum of holiday shopping. Partner Chuck Rose says, "It was an easy way for us to get the site launched fast with quality products we could trust. Partnering with ecosource makes sense because they are tightly focused on sustainability, which is consistent with our vision." Rose went on to say that shopgreenvillage. com will quickly expand to include a broad array of green products in multiple categories for the Home, Garden, Bed, Bath and Body. "We'll even have a baby line, accessories and jewelry." Rose says. "There is so much more available today than there was 12 months ago. We want to source the products you've never seen, bring them together in a cool, one-stop-easy-to-shop site and make our products available nationally."

Currently, the site offers an array of eco-friendly, affordable gift ideas for the holidays, such as organic herb gardens for the window sill and soy candles packaged in handmade paper, which is sown with wildflower seeds. They aim to demonstrate that green products can be inexpensive and still be interesting and stylish.

The site is geared to unique products with a modern, urban aesthetic. It will aspire to carry 100% eco-friendly or fair trade, but recognizes that is not always possible. Rose says, "The goal will be to source consciously and to give back to communities and plans to partner with organizations such as such as 1% For the Planet."

With operations based out of a loft space in neighboring Decatur, Rose says that he chose his location carefully. "Decatur has always been a more conscious when it comes to sustainability. We hope to integrate quickly to become an active part of the exciting green movement happening here."
