Happy and Healthy MOM DAY Miami will be held at Cool-De-Sac on the 3rd floor of The Shops at Sunset Place in Coral Gables on Monday, February 22, 2010 from 9:00am-4:00pm. Happy and Healthy Mom. Com has partnered with O. N.E. (One Natural Experience) to produce this full-day event meant to treat pregnant women and new moms to a day of pampering, discounted shopping, food, and fun. A shopping-only ticket is available for those wishing to shop for others. Advance registration required.
The Purpose
The logic behind Happy and Healthy Mom Days is that during the prenatal / postnatal stage of motherhood, women are going through a lot of changes emotionally and physically which leave them feeling stressed out, achy, tired, overweight or bloated, worried, anxious, and almost entirely focused on the baby; and Happy and Healthy Mom Days are meant to help women "Get That Sexy Back" by putting the focus on them. The event will be using mostly mom-owned businesses as vendors. By bringing these mom vendors together, they are also providing a supportive, nurturing, and intimate atmosphere for the attendees, while supporting the mom vendors' businesses. The primary focus is empowering & supporting women. “We as moms, naturally place a tremendous amount of attention on the baby developing inside of us and the baby once they are born. However, we neglect to focus on taking care of ourselves, our health, and our needs. It is important for women to learn that they can take better care of others if they take better care of themselves first,” according to Heather Lopez, the owner of Happy and Healthy Mom. Com.
The Event
Beginning with a networking pregnancy tea presented by A Womb’s View, the event continues on to highlight: massages, reiki and acupuncture by Therapeutic Mobile Spa; yoga by Anahata Yoga Corp; and facial education by Mary Kay, which will all be presented in a breakout, rotating format. Immediately following the pamper stations, the women will reconvene for an empowerment lunch presented by For Girl’s Only and Happy and Healthy Mom. Com and a Nutritional Education class presented by Deals4Moms. Org & Juice Plus. After that, the full day VIP attendees have first dibs on discounted shopping of “momvendors” offering a variety of products and services just for new moms and mommies to be, as well as premium glam bags full of goodies and a chance to win $150 gift certificate to any store of their choice. At 1pm, the event opens up to shoppers, who with an advance ticket purchase, will also have access to discounted shopping, a glam bag, and a chance to win a $100 gift certificate to a store of their choice. All ticketholders are eligible to win one of several doorpizes up for grabs, such as a 90-minute, private yoga session provided by Anahata Yoga Corp. Ticket purchases for full day packages come with free Valentine’s Day packaging & shipping when purchased by February 7.
