MBNA Ireland Website Launches Helpful Guides
MBNA have launched a new section of their website which is dedicated to guides written in plain English, imforming people of subjects from managing credit card debt to how to keep a good credit rating.

MBNA Ireland have launched a whole new section of their website dedicated to plain English guides and information about managing credit and debt.
The section, found at http://www. mbna. ie/understanding-credit/, contains guides on a variety of financial topics and is designed to encourage responsible borrowing. Areas covered by the guides include:
Managing Credit – All about managing credit responsibly including borrowing and knowing when borrowing is getting out of hand Managing Debt – Help for those in financial difficulty giving advice on what can be done to cut spending as well as information on resources available to help reduce debts Healthy Credit – Covers the importance of a good credit file and what things affect a credit score as well as tips on keeping a good credit report, getting hold of your report and general credit file information What is Credit? - Understanding credit and how it works, discussing financial freedom and avoiding serious debt Your Credit Card Life – Making payments, managing debts and information on Government Tax
The new ‘Understanding Credit’ section is part of a complete revamp of the MBNA Ireland website that has seen a completely new design incorporated. Improvements have been made to navigation, appearance and account management including the new Online Card Services section.
Speaking about the new guide section and the improvements to the website, Richard Honey, E-Commerce Executive for Bank of America Europe Credit Card Services, which operates under the MBNA brand said: “We have listened to feedback from our customers and have re-designed our website to be more contemporary and customer-focused. Plain English guides have been introduced to help customers better understand credit, with information on tackling debt, managing credit, making payments and more.”
He went on to say: “An ever-increasing number of our customers use online channels for credit card comparrison and the re-design of our website makes it easier to use. We are committed to providing simplicity and choice for our millions of customers and we will continue to work hard to make sure we deliver on their needs by supplying them with clear and relevant information.”
As well as being able to access more information, MBNA Ireland credit card-holders will now find it easier to perform all their account management though the website. This includes viewing statements, ordering and activating cards and all PIN related activities as well as checking recent transactions, balances and credit limits, setting up Direct Debits, transferring balances and making payments.
