RMD/Patti Insurance Awarded Prestigious Industry Honor
Independent Insurance Agents of Indiana, Inc. has named RMD/Patti Insurance of Richmond, Indiana its 2010 Agency of the Year. RMD/Patti was nominated from a pool of over 600 Indiana member independent insurance agencies. Finalists were evaluated by the judging committee according to standardized award criteria.

Calls, emails and letters of congratulations from across the country are finding their way to Richmond’s RMD/Patti Insurance. Industry peers are responding to news that Independent Insurance Agents of Indiana, Inc. (IIAI) has named RMD/Patti its 2010 Agency of the year. Now in its 112th year, this statewide award finds its home in Richmond for the first time in decades. RMD/Patti was nominated from a pool of over 600 Indiana member agencies. Finalists were evaluated by the judging committee according to standardized award criteria. According to the IIA,
“This award is given to a member agency that exemplifies leadership and innovation within the independent agency system. RMD/Patti Insurance Agency scored high in the category of unique and innovative marketing strategies, a strong agency perpetuation plan providing a solid base for a continued family-owned independent insurance agency; agency-company relationships, current technologies and utilization of automation, premium volume and policy count, and involvement in IIAI programs and activities, as well as contributions to the community in which they serve.”
RMD/Patti traces its roots to 1927. The company’s modern structure is a byproduct of numerous mergers and acquisitions following the formation of Robbins, Mathery, Dils Agency in 1967. Jerry Dils, founding principal, continues to lead the company as President. The executive team also includes Rick Niersbach, Executive Vice President; Jenny Dils, VP-Insurance Sales; Greg Easley, VP-Insurance Sales; John Dils, VP-Business Development; Anna Lohmoeller, Director of Operations; Tyler Vanderpool, Director of Benefits; Todd Byrd, Director of Benefits; and Tom Schamel, Director of Marketing.
