Ernie Urdal and Bevin Stephenson, local high tech entrepreneurs, are pleased to announce the acquisition of "InfoTechVI. com - Vancouver Island's Information Technology Portal". The well known web site, previously owned and operated by Rick Bateman, publishes news, business and employment related information for the IT industry on Vancouver Island.
Said new owner Ernie Urdal, "I saw that Rick was planning to shut down the site if no buyer was found by year end. I find the site invaluable in my business and I know a number of colleagues who do too. I contacted them and we decided we did not want to see it go, or lose its unbiased value, so we decided to purchase it ourselves. We will be adding functionality to it over the coming months to further increase its value to the Island IT community."
