CME Outfitters Continues Innovations in CE Outcomes Research

Names CE Outcomes Analyst to staff; enhances existing outcomes measurement process

Rockville, MD (PRWEB) March 17, 2005

CME Outfitters (CMEO), a nationally accredited provider of continuing healthcare education, announces the addition of a CE Outcomes Analyst position to its staff of accreditation professionals. Effective immediately, this position will be filled by veteran CME Outfitters accreditation team member Jeanne Evans and will be based in the company's Rockville, Maryland, headquarters.

"Jeanne has played an integral role in the development of our rigorous and forward-looking accreditation practices here at CME Outfitters, especially as they relate to analysis of participant evaluations," said Richard Vanderpool, CMEO Director of Accreditation. "The link between continuing education and improved clinical outcomes is receiving a lot of attention these days. We believe we've been out in front of this trend for some time, and Jeanne's appointment just underscores our longstanding commitment to meaningful outcomes measurement."

Since its inception, CME Outfitters has incorporated outcomes measurement into its needs assessment, content development, and compliance procedures. The company recently launched a 5-step, dual strategy methodology for validating the impact of its educational activities on participant performance. This methodology uses a combination of clinical vignettes and successive follow up surveys over a period of 3 months post-activity.

CME Outfitters has assumed an increasingly visible role in shaping changes in the CME/CE field. In addition to strong relationships with multiple accrediting bodies, CME Outfitters is an engaged member of the Alliance for CME (ACME) and the North American Association of Medical Education and Communication Companies (NAAMECC). The company's accreditation executives hold committee and faculty roles in these organizations and regularly attend national and regional conferences and workshops related to CME/CE.

Through these efforts, CME Outfitters has earned a reputation for serving the public interest by developing evidence-based, fair balanced CME activities, and will continue to be an authoritative and respected voice in support of bias-free educational programming.
