Well-being, Rejuvenation, Serenity, Relaxation, Beauty, Simplicity...not the words typically associated with Holiday Shopping? Perhaps, until now...

Pura Vida Promotions and Amara Spa by the Sea in Summerland are partnering to bring you a unique way to avoid the stress and rigors of Holiday Shopping, while giving the gift of wellness and beauty.

“All too often the joy of the Holiday Season is overshadowed by the time and budget crunch of gift shopping,” says Christina Penniman, Owner and first-time entrepreneur. “We have a plan that keeps you far from the bustling crowds, and helps you spend your valuable time visiting with friends and family.”

Pura Vida has developed a package of three separate full spa visits, sampling AmaraÂ’s most unique and popular treatments, for just $60 (a $245 value). Appropriate treatment upgrades are also offered for each visit, helping new clients realize the full benefits of their spa experience.

With one phone call to Pura Vida (805.453.6364) you can relax knowing that your gifts will, in turn, provide ongoing tranquility to the recipients. They will continue to thank you during each of their three spa treatments!

Pura Vida PromotionsÂ’ mission is to introduce potential new clients to professional, full-service spas in the Santa Barbara area.

Local community groups are on the Pura Vida/Amara gift list as well.

“At Pura Vida Promotions we believe in the health and beauty of one another, our community and our environment,” says Penniman. “We are taking great care to ensure our endeavors promote well-being on each of these levels.”

For instance, the new spa relations company places their business with local vendors, creates printed materials using recycled paper and soy inks, and uses postage that helps fund breast cancer research.

“The product itself promotes individual wellness!” says Penniman. “To add to this, we are looking to share our successes with local community groups by inviting them to use the package certificates for fundraising.”

“Often times the person who donates to a good cause and the person who appreciates the spa experience are one in the same. Donors will not only feel good about giving, but they will also feel wonderful after their spa treatments!” she adds.

The young company has already made donations to WomenÂ’s Economic Ventures, the Muscular Dystrophy Association, the Fund for Santa Barbara, Transition House and the Breast Resource Center, among others. Penniman also volunteers for several of these organizations.

“Our aim is to partner with spa owners like Lisa (Hornor, of Amara) who support our community goals,” says Penniman. “We see this as a step in creating wellness and success for everyone: ourselves, the spas and most importantly their clients and the community.”
