Osteoporosis Canada Selects TrialstatÂs Clincalanalytics and Data Management Services
Web-based database to be used at clinics across Ontario to gather patient information on osteoporosis-related fractures.
Ottawa, ON (PRWEB) July 11, 2007 -
TrialStat Corporation, a clinical data solutions on demand company, today announced that it has been selected by Osteoporosis Canada (OC) to provide electronic data capture (EDC) and data management services for the organizationÂs osteoporosis screening and education project being implemented at select fracture clinics across Ontario. OC chose TrialStatÂs ClinicalAnaytics (CA) 4.0Â for its ability to rapidly deliver secure and flexible on demand EDC, while concurrently providing a comprehensive range of data management services in compliance with Health Canada and privacy regulations.
TrialStatÂs flexible data capture (FDC) architecture allows users at select OC clinics to deploy CA on a wide range of mobile devices, including tablets, PDAs and Pocket PCs. In addition, CAÂs browser-side encryption, an industry first, ensures that only OC users and eligible colleagues can create and view data respectively. The module goes beyond standard security practices by ensuring that data in specified fields is fully encrypted before it ever leaves the browser.
OC is a key stakeholder implementing the Ontario Osteoporosis Strategy, which seeks to prevent the onset of osteoporosis by educating seniors and school children about bone health. The strategy will also strive to improve early diagnosis and intervention, integrate services to provide enhanced treatment and management. In addition, the strategy will aid medical professionals by providing tools to help them use clinical practice guidelines and conduct more research to increase knowledge about osteoporosis.
ÂWe are pleased to be working with Osteoporosis Canada, said Jonathan Barker, President and CEO, TrialStat. ÂUsing some of CAÂs most innovative features will enable OC users to be up and running quickly and securely. Our ability to deploy CA with a suite of data management services underscores our strength in delivering database solutions on demand and on budget.Â
On July 18, TrialStat will hold a Webinar on regulatory compliance for on demand Web-based applications and their data centers. CA and its infrastructure are fully compliant with international regulatory standards, including the FDA's 21 CFR Part 11 and the good electronic clinical trial practices demanded by the European Medicines Agency (EMEA) and Health Canada.
